Is it to keep their feet dry? What about when they're in dry climates? I don't think it makes sense to wear thick heavy boots in the deserts of Iraq. Why don't they just wear something that will keep their feet cool, like tennis shoes? They can make them padded/armored, if protection is the concern.

Even if they do, they are still on the losing end of the stick.

WHEN WE CAN FINALLY PULL OUT OUR TROOPS FROM THE HELL HOLES, I DONT THINK WE ARE COMING OUT WITH LOADS OF OIL. So why do people say it? Pricks have RESPECT for the brave men and women who are risking their lives for you. And have a thought for their families.

First I must say that I lived in NY during the attacks. However instead of pinning a flag on my nipple to show every passer-by what a patriot I am, I asked "why did this happen". This clearly is a result of our blind support for Isreal, our invasion and occupation of muslim holly grounds (they seem to get a bit touchy about that). My question is why are we supported Isreal and sent them bombs to wage so many blood thirsty wars? Why after 2 Isreali attacks on American warships do we still write them billion dollar cheques? Surely this money could be putto better use (we have a trillion dollar deficit) Why do we pay isreal to piss off our enemies and kill our citizens? It doesn't make sense

Was anybody shocked by this admission? Didn't think so. What I want to know is why everyone is asking for the location of these prisons and not through what sordid manner the CIA is funding this? My guess is Afghanistani poppy fields

Would Hillary look at a lost WW3 in the same way she looks at her lost relationship with her husband Bill Clinton and go out and start WW4 in hopes of winning the war this time.

My fiance has been gone since February and I'm absolutely losing my mind at this point. We can't really talk that much on the phone, for obvious reasons, but a span of 14 days without knowing and I was going crazy! We've spent about 95% of our relationship apart and of course being away (distance) is no fun, but not knowing is worse...

I was just wondering if anyone knew some disqualifying medical conditions to prevent one from becoming a USMC Officer. I had ankle surgery last year, is this going to be a problem? No pins or needles, just reconstructive surgery.
Thanks,

I am currently in Nursing school, and I hear that the USMC won't take you becuase that is a useless degree, and they would'nt be able to use my skills. Is this true? And if it is, what sort of degree do I need to get then? I was under the impression that any 4 year college degree was just fine...
Thanks,
-Katie

I bet if George Bush had any sons and daughters over there in Iraq, the war would probably be over by now.

After being 5 years and the war still at a standstill, I need to understand one's projective to how the war is going and I want to know if anyone out there honestly believes we as Americans will ever find a resolution to end the war's conflict to make peace with the rest of the world.

The media does an excellent job of showing us the negative side of what is going on in Iraq, but I am curious to hear about the great things our troops are doing over there. I would love to hear stories from troops or their loved ones about their postive experiences overseas. Such stories are so inspirational to me, and I am so thankful to those who step up to promote democracy and help create a better way to life to those who need it.

When I was about to graduate from high school, I marine recruiter was really trying to get me to join, but I just couldn't see myself fitting into the military. Don't have the discipline, unwavering loyalty or the willingless to put my life on the line for someone else's reasons. But their are millions of people who do join the military, and I was just wondering why and if it was a good decision in retrospect.

How long before it expires (if it does)? If she PCS's will she still have her school option? And please give the regulation so we have something solid to take to the First Sergeant. Thanks
