No, it is not disabling and can be treated while they serve. It is a minor surgical procedure. They may refuse such surgery but it is better if they are treated....lots cheaper!

not sure you would need to look into that with them, my friend hurt her ankle during basic and got nothing. you are on active duty and it is arguable that you might not have developed this condition if you werent, so you might get something. but if you need any answers about your cyst you can contact me. i have had several bad ones resulting in nearly 100 doctors visits and 2 surgical procedures. Pilonidal cysts are not always minor. there are ppl who have had more surgeries than me. and i am not out of the woods yet. make sure to get it taken care of by someone with lots of experience.
