We are not there for just the oil, its about the entire stability of the region. That is why we supported Iraq in the 80's during the Iran Iraq war. Iran would have run right over Iraq and dominated the entire world market of oil. They will do the same if we leave today.....

First of all if I were president everyone there would be gone. I would assign new positions to people I know for certain who would do their jobs properly. I would not have anyone under me who has to be watched and have their noses wiped because they can't. To wipe out innocent lives in Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan...NO! I am not a murderer. I would do a, "Keep my eyes on" program regarding certain individuals and who they associate with. Should a time come we would catch them without their knowledge. I am an American and I would conduct myself as not to embarrass the United States or myself.

I am happy I am not part of any US government, because it is not a cool thing. Right now USA is under the eyes of the World. In a negative light that is. The World criticized Hitler, they too wanted to make a race disappear, and the World said STOP! I see this coming to US govt too, enough damage they have done around the World. The US also created a September 11, in 1973 in Chile. I feel sorry for all the innocent children and people that have died for Bush's interests. He says he is helping the Iraqi's, Afghans, and the Middle East, please STOP your so call saving, because your soul right now needs saving

Is that your solution? When I quit drinking, it helped if I thought my actions through to the consequences when I was tempted.

If this IS your solution, think it through more thoroughly. How? Our conventional resources are stretched thin already. Nukes? What are the ramifications of that? Morality of annihilating an entire culture, everyone, every age? Nuclear fall out? World judgement? Retaliation against Americans everywhere, whether they supported it or not. Martyrdom and recruitment for terrorists everywhere?

No reason to rush in. That oil in the ground is there for the long term. 50-100 years is the time horizon. The oil supply is secure, no use being too hasty.

What do u think rest of the World & Arabs will do?
Just sit back watch the show?
THE WORLD WOULD THEN WITNESS A NEW GENERATION OF TERRORISTS, fighting for seemingly a more rational cause than today's, determined to wipe out the last remaining American citizen.

If what you suggest is not wrong, then it's a free-for-all kind of world. Other countries too, can hit the USA. China can nuke the US too, so can Russia and North Korea. Nobody can blame them. Everything is up for grabs.

As for the oil, guess you're not getting your share.

I'd give the Afghans and Iraqis a deadline line to take care of themselves.

I would demand that Congress declare War on Iran and Syria. They are supporting terrorist so a state of war exist, so we should just make it official.

I think many a president would have liked to have that privilege. However a little things like people and civilisation act as an impediment!

It would be real tempting to just drop the big one on the whole region. But, that would be extremely selfish - kill millions of innocent people just so we don't have to deal with the few who are causing the problems.
