I'm going to be joining the army soon, probaly real soon. I was wanting to know if anyone knows a site that gives definitions on mos's and what the qualifications are. I've done searches and didn't pull up anything.
Also if you could give me some advice on any good mos/s I would really apreciate it.

Thank you in advance.

This military coup is bad news. Will Bush want to intervene to forcibly hand the country back over to the Prime Minister?

I dont think the USA(in current deployment, meaning troops stationed as they are today) could win a war with China.

now the question
does that make me unpatriotic, even if i still feel that i love my nation, and does that make me evil for not thinking we are going to win?

explain your answers :)

my husband is a marine stationed on a navy ship. he's doing a med cruise & i have to have my gallbladder taken out. we moved to a new city right before he deployed and i dont have any family here and the only people i know are my co-workers. i know i have to contact the red cross and let them know the date of the surgery, and they will relay the messgae to the ship for a decision... but does anyone know what the outcome will probably be? i know i wont be able to walk our dog, or have a ride to & from the hospital unless i use a taxi. just wondering if anyone has an idea on the matter...

I know the US has the best military, but why can't they give everyone the training Rangers get? I'm talking about the US Army, i think a regular recruit should get Ranger training, and that will be our regular Army Soldiers, and then Special Forces should be like the Seals Training. And for Marines, they should get even tougher, or at least Longer, they are one of the best, why not be better?
Air Force training is a joke, i mean come on! Anyone who joins the Air Force is considered a wussie, they should get ranger training too, and that will be our regular Airmen. So then they could be involved in the fighting as well.

You know what?? why can't they just train everybody like they train the Special Operations?? We will be more powerful and stronger. Our regular training should be at least 4 months and special forces should be over a year.

Anyone agree? lol

I am married to a deployed Soldier in Iraq. I found out he has been emailing, and asking girls for nasty pictures and talking dirty to them online. In the meantime this same "guy" freaks out if I go anywhere, even to the store! I do not talk to any guys,or even care to. I mail him care packages, food, whatever he needs, handle all our finances and home, plus 3 little girls. I send him anything he needs as far as pictures or magazines,,,but it seems he is always out to meet people, and only nasty hoes or "hotties" looking for a desert Pen Pal.{I was sent an email he specifically said that in to another friend of his}. Why should I be home waiting on him, being loyal, trusting and up all night waiting on his *** to get online when he has 15 other girls I just found out sending him nasty things through snail mail to Iraq? Do all Military Guys think they are entitled to this?? I was warned I have to admit..not to date Military, but is this how they all are?? We ARE MARRIED..But im Filing DIVORCE.

Who thinks that the US would be better off if all young people were required to serve their country in some capacity (like Israel or Australia). I don't think that the military would be good for everone but some sort of service to their country I think would be a good thing and instill a little responsibility in our youth before dumping then into an unsupervised college situation or the job market unprepared for life. Your thoughts please.

How do army recruiters get your phone number and address?
and how do you decline their offer? I keep telling them I am not interested at the moment, but it seems as if they wont take no for an answer and degrade me by saying the path I am taking is going to get me nowhere in life.

I would have a modicum of respect for this weasel if he just admited it. We know that is what he actually wants to do. Remember how hard Bush fought against the McCain amendment against torture?
Then when they lost, Bush signed a "signing statement" saying they could torture
detainees anyway.

My husband was in college at the time and remembers feeling that we were close to a draft. Anyone know if they recalled those who had already done their 4 year stint in the services? Can they call you back for duty even if you aren't in the reserves?

When Bush says he does not understand the Geneva Convention, it means he does and knows torture is illegal and he is in violation of international law. Doesen't " clarification " mean redefining torture to make it legal? Someday he may be tried as a war criminal.

In world war 2, there were no cameras and even though we got away with a lot of thing that the media would call 'unethical' and wrong, we did it and finished the war. Are the cameras in Iraq influenceing the outcome? note: im not contdoning torture im just asking if the cameras are causing public opinoin to get into the way.

according to the news, china is having a massive military buildup, and have currently demonstrated that they have stolen American military secrets and technology. on cnn today it talked how the chinese navy warships had American military technology in them, and their tanks had American military technology in them. Why are the chinese continuesly stealing our designs, and are they planning an attack on us? it appears so. should we take this as a sign of agrression, and start increasing our military just to be prepared? The chinese have become untrustworthy, dont ya think? if not. why not?
