I've been running recruiting for an area for 5 years. First, nobody "sells" lists. Names are obtained by multiple sources including certain high school lists required to be released under No Child Left Behind Act. DO NOT tell them you have some wierd disease. It will be input into the system and can come back at you in the future. Had many people tell my recruiters about their "asthma" and a few years later they wanted in. Guess what they couldn't do? If you do not wish them to call you, tell the recruiter that if he contacts you again you will contact his Station Commander and take it up his chain of command. Understand, in certain services, these recruiters are required to contact you a certain amount of times. He's just doing his job and trying to survive. Also, be aware that without these recruiters, who are really military people, we wouldn't have a military to protect us. I know it sucks fielding the calls all the time, but be polite and give him a chance to remove your name from his database. That's the ultimate goal.

They get the information from many different sources. ASVAB tests, your high school, draft registration. The government buys lists from differnt places, just like phone soliciters.
I don't know af a way to politely tell them to back off. I have found that they will keep at you until you get disqualified. Maybe tell them that you have some sort of disease, or that you have vision problems, or you are epileptic. Or, you could sit down and with them and listen to their presentation. If you are going to college, tell them so. If they get really bad, call the MEPS station and file a complaint. Personally, I would have them visit with you and your parents, and let them know that you won't make any commitments, you just want information. That is what they really want, just the chance to let you know what is out there. I would look at all the services though. Good luck.

High schools have a list of all seniors and recruiters ask for it. If they keep calling tell them you are not interested (leave off the at this time...that means call tomorrow and see), and that you would not like to be contacted anymore. Don't be hateful or mean just be upfront. After that they should take your name off of the list(they are supposed). If they say something that you find offensive tell them, let them know that you don't want to/won't be talked to like that. And if it continues, let the main recruiting station know.

Its the Goverment they can`t find out anything.
they are so deperate right now that why they don`t take no for an answer don`t let them pressure you if you are not intersted then you are not interested.
They are like telemarker caller is there not a law against them when you tell them not to call again and they do they get in trouble or something????
Everytime they call i would hang up ,after a couple time you told them you not intersted they should have stoped calling you.

I don't know how they get your number. Do you still have to sign up for draft? If you are not interested then decline but be polite as they are working for our country.

Bush listens to all your telephone conversations.
Tell the recruiters that the path THEY are taking by harassing you is going to get THEM nowhere in life.
