Of course it doesn't make you unpatriotic, just realistic! You seem to have looked closely at the current situation and formed an opinion based on those facts. As you are not actively trying to make the USA lose, you don't have anything to worry about. (except maybe learning Chinese if they do win!)

If there replaced right into a combat, it may be like this: BRICS and NATO are disbanded. China allies to India and helps India annex Bangladesh and Nepal. China publicizes conflict for Siberia. The Russians an individuals are pals after the Putin assassination. u . s . a . of america joins the conflict on Russia's part. the US and Russia DOMINATE the Air and sea , blocking off off China and India and launching great scale bombings. Russia is crushed by the human wave tactic of China and Russia's great military. impressive earlier the autumn of Moscow, The Russians wipe China, India and notably lots the entire continent off the map with nukes. the only residing chinese language and Indians are in POW camps interior the US after the fallout styled invasion of Alaska. the US wins by default cuz of survival, as China and India did no longer have adequate nukes to kill u . s . a . so as that they killed Russia. The planet is heavily broken however the hot international survives. (old international engoulfed in nuclear conflict simply by fact the fallout destroyed infrastructure.)

patriotism is love for your country, not the current (or any) administration, nor for it's individual policies, but love for it's values. just because yo are realistic doesn't make you unpatriotic. i don't think we could win a 1 on 1 war with china now either unless it turned nuclear, but i still love the principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and i still think america is the best country in the world, no matter how much i hate bush. if we withdrew from iraq we would win a conventional war no doubt

I think the U.S. could win... they would just say "screw Iraq" and pull everyone back...
I mean the trouble with China is they have all these troops... but no good way to deploy all of them quickly... I mean we have a lot of missiles to take out anything that isn't going really fast...
so a mainland invasion would be very difficult for them on the mainland U.S.... granted... a mainland china invasion would be very difficult for the U.S. too... 100s of millions of people... it's just hard to deal with the logistics of fighting that many...
probably a draw in the end...

Some of the answers here are really funny especially camden's assessment based on 1 year stay in China. The few thousands of rag tag civilians fighting the best equipped, the best armed US troops in Iraq are causing enough worries to US & UK troops that they dare not leave in peace.
China is some 4,000 years old. US is less than 300 years old. My money's on China to outlast USA.... anytime.

Nobody would win, China would probably resort to nuclear weapons and then the whole world would join in on the fun. As for your patriotism, that would only be judged on whos Army your willing to fight for.

You're just being realistic. You're only evil or unpatriotic if you cause the war.

ofcourse china will win the war, it's as obvious as the sun in june, cause the alliance between china, iran and venezuella will kick the USA's ***, thats for sure.
my explination is that the golden age is over, and the concept of one ruling power in the world became obselete.
