how do i get my fathers service number in the army?

I beleive he served from 1939 to possibly 1945 he did his training in ottowa his name is Reginald Clifford Richards born in mission b.c. March 18, 1917
or 1916

he was at wainwright,victoria,

Go to Veterans office and social security office.

You can call veteran affairs at any military base and they can get you in contact with someone who can help you out. Usually the service number is the SS # but that's what we do in United States military branches. It might be different else where.
