Estimates of Japanese nuclerization ranges from days to weeks. Plus, China's economy is held together by a very tight string of cities on the eastern boarder. If China tries to pull anything, Aegis cruisers off the coast of Taiwan can hit those areas.
Besides, China conserves ISPs. So evidently, it's not too hard to take down their entire internet connections either. Unlike America that has a bajillion ISPs, China only has a few.
Thirdly, China's navy is pretty bad. They bought a French Carrier, which cannot float correctly. They have a half decent sub. However, American subs are both stealthier and own a larger range of attack. Besides, China has to deal with both the US Navy, and the Japanese Imperial Navy.
China is in no position to attack as of this moment. Reason being, China's strength comes in their sheer number of grunts. But if they can't get here, what's there to worry about? We can easily sink their navy. And with the Japaneses Bushido crap and all, you know they have Gundams hidden under ground or something.
China is facing two very large powers, several strategically placed islands out of it's rule, and an economic issue if they decide to attack.

This is very old news. Just before 911 the news of the day was about our U2 spy plane being clipped by a Chinese fighter, and how it was our fault, according to the Chinese. Chinese is a threat, they glea at the fact we are spending valuable dollars at the expense of Iran, Iraq ect... We know they are studying how we fight this war. It is important Americans don't buy Chinese made products, however, in todays America, it is very hard not too. Clinton sold many secrets to the Chinese in the late '90's. After the U2 landed in China for because of the emergency, they refused to release the plane. The only interest they have in mind is to become the next super power. If we do defeat radical islam, we are in for another war, I hate to say.

No. They are decades away from having the capability to launch an amphibious invasion of the North American continent. Contrary to what Opinionated American thinks, the PLAN (People's Liberation Army Navy) is decades away from having a fleet of the size and capabilities of the USN, much less large enough to conduct a succesful amphibious landing on either the east or west coast of the US. They have no ships in service nor building that are as capable as a Ticonderoga class cruiser or Burke class destroyer. They have no aircraft carriers at all, and are years away from having one, much less one with the size and capabilities of a Nimitz class carrier.
The modernization of the PRC's military is simply an extension of the modernization of their economy. Countries stealing military secrets from other countries certainly isn't groundshaking news, that's been going on for decades (the US does it to). The only country that faces a real threat from the modernization of the PRC is Taiwan.

Not militarily but economically...the military build up is to mop up. Take notice...Tony Blair is being ousted so we won't have the Brit's to watch our backs and Canada along with south America will go the way of the old. I see you don't remember the cold war. China is just doing whats natural, it's just so easy with this administration. This is the aftermath of mediocre education. Not only do we have to watch China...we have to watch south American countries, Russia, Iran and many other middle eastern countries. We are in deep ca ca.

Many years ago, some prognosticators thought our real enemy was China, not Russia. Anyway, they may surpass us in military might, but my big concern is that they will zoom by us economically simply because all the manufacturing has gone to China. They are jjust now experiencing the Industrial Revolution that we experienced since the 1920s until maybe 1960-1970. During the IR, our middle class became the great majority. Now, our middle class is rapidly disappearing due to outsourcing overseas, illegal immigration driving wages down, and company profits rising rapidly.

No, they want their military to be technically equal to the US rather than behind. They may be preparing an attack on Taiwan which would lead to fighting the US, but have nothing to gain by attacking the US.

What would they do that for? Just look at all the products that are made in China...from faucets to air conditioners...it's difficult to find anything made in America. In fact, at my local grocery, there was even frog legs imported from China. So, if China decided to attack us, they would lose a big consumer base.

Not yet. First, they want to invade Taiwan, then Japan and Korea, then Southeast Asia. Once they take over all of East Asia, they will then have the capacity to attack America. That's the plan they have in place now, so the U.S. must prepare now to defend the Pacific from the Red Menace.

YES. With their current spending, over half their gdp on their military, in 10 years they will have a Military that surpasses the US.
Chinese Army Currently over 5 million troops, America 2 million.
In five years they will have a blue water navy bigger than our own.
In ten years we will enter into a new cold war with China.
Then we will be building bomb shelters in our basements & back yards again.

i doubt it because the US government has kept its citizens in a climate of fear for the last 50 plus years. now that the war on terror is starting to lose effect and the whole Iran thing is failing to concern as many people as the government wants, theyve picked China.
