I would suggest long johns and porn. Winters coming in Afghanistan and it will get seriously cold soon. The usual food and candy stuff is always welcome. You could write or e-mail him to find out his needs.

Send him wishes. Wish him, and all other people involved with wars, civilian or military, that all wars would come to an end. And we can all live in peace and just enjoy the short life as is.

Depends...what kinds of things do they like? When my husband was in Kuwait, I sent little toys, (i.e. pen-top games, travel edition games, playing cards, etc...) I sent beef jerky, hard candies, lots of letters, lots of pictures, a pillow case with my perfume on it. Just little reminders of home.
