I think it is funny how I read other people's comments about how the Americans lost this or didn't do that, but when it comes down to it. I don't think any country in their, "right mind" would want to tango. Do you want to dance?

For a nation so proud of its Military, why did America turn its back on returning Vietnam Veterans?

Was it that they lost? Because attrocities were reported for the first time? A sign of the times?

All of these combatants were asked to travel to a land many had never heard of before the conflict and do an incredibly difficult and dangerous job that many didn't return from.

It's not pretty but then again it's just a dead animal. That dead animal looks like a person but it really isn't.

I'm not claiming Israel is stupid because I have a fondness for arabs... no not at all.
What does bother me however:

#1 Israel has the second most powerful airforce to America (in terms of pilot training and technology)
Why is Israel sending in ground troops when they could just blow those damn Hezbollah Sand critters sky high using JDAM bombs?
You can't do anything against a jet fighter if you have no Air force.

#2 Why doesn't Israel simply send a squadron of F-16's to blow Iran's nuclear reactor SKY HIGH before it goes online? They did the same thing to Saddam Hussein's reactor in OSIRAK years ago!

#3 Israel sees the world is anti-semitic and anti-Israel...why not just do what they want to those sand critters and ignore what the world says?

If I was General this war would be over by now. 100% of Hezbollah would be dead.

I think Israel is stupid because their Parliament right now, for the first time in history, is entirely civilian rather than former military.

I am highly considering joining the United States Armed Forces. In speaking with a recruiter, they stated that if you join as enlisted that the Military will repay 'up to $ 65,000' in Federal student loans. Is this correct?

Would I also not receive the same benefit if commissioned? I will have a Bachelor's degree.

I'm in a really bad situation. My boyfriend is in the military and we're expecting a child. I recently found out that he never got divorced. He told me the marriage had been annulled (sp) but turns out he is still married. What happens now (in reference to the baby) Will he get in trouble?

Married - 1 child, happy, healthy. Looking forward to my career in the Army. Jumped through all the hoops and went to MEPS where I was told after that I had tested hot for Cocaine. I do not use ANY drugs. I want to serve my country and eventually was looking to further my career in law enforcement or perhaps remain in the military. I do not know what to do - how do I clear myself that soome mistake or error in the test has occured?

This is absolutely unfair. Israel started bombing Beirut and ruined Lebanon. If it wasn't the US support and weapons, Israel would use its conscience and solve its problems through negotiation not murder and brutality.

My husband is in the delayed entry program. He married me one month ago and then left me 4 days ago for his ex-girlfriend from high school. I found out two days later (yesterday) that I am pregnant. He has not been to boot camp yet. What, if anything, will the military do? Will they make him give me money after he goes to boot camp? Is it different because he hasn't been yet? He did already go to meps. He got a 95 on his AFQT or whatever (asvab score), but now he is saying he hurt his back. He is married to me, but he lives with his girlfriend, who doesn't want him to join. Doesn't he have to now? He told his recruiter he hurt his back, and they said military surgeons would fix it, he just has to sign waivers. I just want to make sure I get help, financially, for the baby. I'm scared that he doesn't want to go now, and I don't want him to get in trouble for adultery or malingering, because I really will need help from him. Do I talk to his recruiter?

YES! My SFC Hubby is there and he says most of his base are against it! They say they really don't know why they are their right now, other than to drive down the road only to be blown up by an IED. We are wasting our money, while lining Bush's pocketbook. Economy is going to **** because of Bush. And just so you know, most men that signed up for the Military did it thinking the Army was a respectable, honorable field, and after signing up learning the hard way and then they can't get out!
