If the US does a stop loss in the service can they kick a solider out of the Navy if they don't make it through boot camp?

They can kick any one out if they don't make it through boot but more than likely they would just have them repeat it again. Stop/loss really doesn't have anything to do with basic training. It has to do with those who are getting ready to get out and good old Uncle Sam needs them to stay in another year.

Stop loss doesn't mean "no one leaves." It means the service keeps the people they need most in a time of crisis. Since stop loss is for the benefit of the service, if keeping someone is not to the benefit of the service, they get kicked.

If they don't make it through boot camp, they WILL kick him out. We can't have untrained soldiers in the military, even during times of stop loss.

yes they can kick you out if you fail to pass basic trainning.and even if they were through with BCT and in the service if they did something that violated UCMJ codes (ie:broke the law by doing drugs)they can still kick you out even when a stop loss is in effect.I have seen it more than once in the past year and a half since i have been in iraq.

Yes they can but it depends on the individual circumstances. When I was in, you could be "recycled". That's being made to repeat some part or all of "boot camp".

I've been out a while so this may have changed.

a lot of basic training consists of the individual soldier figuring out if he/she wants to be in the military. if they dont pass, then they may try to "recycle" them, but eventually, they will kick a person out for not being able to make it through boot camp. that's how it is in the army anyway, not really sure about the navy.

Yes they are not job qualified untill they graduate from all the schools, they have to be out of the "trainee status" to even be considered for a stop loss.

Yes. If not, there wouldn't be a boot camp. That is designed to weed out who can handle it and who can't and to train you.

Yeah but navy bootcamp is for pansies and anyone who doesnt pass it shouldt be in any kind of military.

Unless you are talking about navy SEAL bootcamp b/c thats a whole different story.
