YES! My SFC Hubby is there and he says most of his base are against it! They say they really don't know why they are their right now, other than to drive down the road only to be blown up by an IED. We are wasting our money, while lining Bush's pocketbook. Economy is going to **** because of Bush. And just so you know, most men that signed up for the Military did it thinking the Army was a respectable, honorable field, and after signing up learning the hard way and then they can't get out!

I don't doubt for a second that an Army wife said that. I've heard numerous Army wives make statements like that. Why do you think there's a retention problem in the Army right now? Because everyone is eagar to go back to Iraq? Not likely!

I highly doubt that came from an Army wife. Especially the wife of a SFC. More than likely, it's someone like you who just wants to get attention and is impersonating someone they can never be. A military wife is an honored and respected position.

I seriously doubt it was one of us that said that. Especially a SFC wife they know a hell of a lot better than that. The majority of soldiers are actually for the war. Actually they can get out as soon as their enlistment date is up they aren't in for life! So they may have claimed to be a wife, but I seriously doubt it.

propaganda most likely. There was recently a soldier who lost both legs that did an interview with a "liberal" newspaper, they completely changed is words around to support their own agenda saying he denounced the war and such, he did an interview on fox new (i know you guys hate fox) but from this guys own mouth on TV, he still supported the cause of what they were doing in iraq, even after he lost both legs. how is that for our Brave men in the armed forces?

Too bad your husband and you feel that way. My son is a Marine and he and his friends recognize the job they are doing is an important one. They are proud of what they do, and signed up because of that pride. It's all about attitude.
