I figure about 10 more years. It is a ridiculous ban to have, especially with a war on. Over 50 arabic linguists have been tossed out under that ban since 2001, and thousands of otherwise good soldiers as well.

p.s. Ghost1980 and steve are disgusting and subhuman.

Gays are not banned. Read the policy to learn the conditions of service.

Probably never. Homosexuality is incompatible with military service. For the same reason we don't have coed showers and barracks, we don't allow open homosexuals to serve.

There are a multitude of other reasons, but that is probably the main one.
