Prior military (E5), ASVAB score of 112 and have a BA in criminal justice.
P.S. I don`t want to make the same mistake as before and go as "open contract" and get screwed with a cook MOS. Therefore, I need feed-back from past and present Soldiers! Thanks.

the reserves are being over used and soldiers are being forced to serve longer and more tours than they signed up for. So why is there not a draft to provide the necessary personnel for the war in Iraq?

Dear all knowing Erudite, Thank you for telling the world about our horrible duty here in Iraq. As you know this so called war in Iraq isn't going so well. The Rag tag insurgents are making us look like the Keystone Cops and making us holler "Uncle" day in and day out. We are getting our rear ends handed to us everyday. How can this be? The war was suppose to be over in about 8 months and Bush called the insurgents "Dead Enders" back in July of 2003. Do you really think we can win over here in Iraq? Do You? Thank you nice people in the USA for your nice support and we will do our best with what we have. We just hope we can leave real soon. Keep up the good work and God Bless America.

I was in the reserves and I got an other than honorable discharge. Now that I look back I think the biggest reason that I couldn't stay in was because of emotional problems caused by a situation that happened at bootcamp. I wasn't even thinking about that at the time of my discharge because I blocked it all out.

Since we are in a "War Against Terror," why would we deny someone who /wants/ to serve that right? I just don't understand the reasoning behind it.

Use The Mental Health System like an Incredably sharp scalpel to slice and dice a persons life into tiny pieces and make him believe the only time he will ever see Freedom is when he is lying on his death bed in his own excrement waiting to die. These people can go onto any Military Reservation into any Defense related Industry and onto any College/University campus. They can hit you on the run and they can hit you at home. They tend to leave you alone if you are incarcerated however way.
Who are these Vigilante-like people and why does government not destroy them ?

there is a stereo type that women in the military aren't worth much--they get pregnunt, they are whores (do to the large ratio of men/women)--they are lazy. True or false? be honest

How can the Insurgents hurt the Marines Day in and Day out? How can this be? The Marines are so powerful and yet a bunch of rag tag men in blue jeans are giving the Marines a butt beating. The Marines are wearing shame. What a defeat for the USA.

Let me start off by saying that I dont mean to insult anyone.

My husband(hes wht and me blk that is hard in itself) is in the Air Force and he loves it and that is great. I hate it. We have been married 1 year and a half and spent 10 of those months apart. I just dont understand how he can love something that seperates us all the time. He joined after our marriage and I was upset beyond belief. I dont understand how the military can do this to families(luckily we have no children). Shouldnt the military want to provide stability and support to its members families? I have experienced none of that. It has been chaotic and so difficult.

And often I feel bad because I hate it so much and my husband loves it. I feel like if I just support it for him I am saying it is okay and it is not okay. I have told him that I give this a try but I refuse to be seperated agian.

How is one to deal with the such resentment agianst the military?

iran does not have as good of an army as iraq did.

not sure if the USA did this, but in other countries they still have any male 18 or over serve in the military (in any sort of position) for 1 or 2 years. They say it makes "MEN" out of our young boys. I think it would be good....how about you?
