There is a core of truth in most stereotypes.
In Desert Shield/Desert Storm there were a huge number of get-out-of-Saudi-free pregnancies. Often followed by a quickie abortion the moment they returned to CONUS.
Also, in the military, pregnancy is light duty with a long period of convalescent leave and light duty after birth. It amounts to almost 2 years of doing nothing.
There are many fine female soldiers, I do not mean to suggest that there are not. But there are a number, a minority, but not a small minority that are willing to game the system.
Lazy? Many soldiers are lazy, many are not. Gender has anything to do with it.

There's all types of females in the military! Some join just for the money. Some join because they cant get a job or dont want to get a real paying job. Then there's some that do join the military because that's what they really wanted to do in the first place. Some think that it's a good ideal to get pregnant so they can get out of training.
I know this from experience. Some of the females were very lazy and some were ready to work and move on with life. It all depends on th female!
I know that I've offended some, but it's the truth! Been there!

Yes you have that stereo type. But then again I watched many MEN in the military sit back and not do a damn thing. I have seen MEN get a female pregnant and walk away and leave it for her to deal with. They also hop from barracks to barracks on a nightly basis and not have one reciprocation. But the is the typical MALE SPECIES for you. The women get called LAZY, WORTHLESS, WHORES
But men do it and there is a hell yea and hooha and ya-ti ya-ti ya and it is the women that put up with this stupid double standard and get criticized for doing the same thing men do. the only difference her guys is the WOMEN GETS TO TAKE THE PUPPY HOME.
Now me I was in the military and I did get pregnant, but I was married first and DID MY JOB to the best of my abilities. I did PT until told not to any more than I still walked the whole PT time. I stood in formations and worked till I went into labor at work. I took my 6 weeks. 24 hours of labor and 7 1/2 lb kid it was well deserved. I came back to work and pulled a 24 hour duty because there was nobody else to do it. Oh and we were shipping our unit to Kosovo (if that is spelled right). So before you JUDGE the women in the military know what the hell you are talking about and erase the DOUBLE STANDARD!!!

I don't have a problem with women in the military at all. Women are just as capable of serving their nation as any man is. On the other hand, I don't like the idea that women only have to complete at 20% of what a man does in physical fitness standards. If they can't keep up, they shouldn't step up. I've known several women who could out run me any day. I've known a few that could do more sit-ups. If women can keep up, why do they refuse to do so? Also, why-oh-why do women complain about not being wanted in the military when they aren't willing to even try to perform at the same level as their male counterparts? I'm sorry, but if women can perform at the same level as men, why don't they do it and force those stinking conservatives to stick it!

Where did you get this stereo type? Some wankers wishful thinking? There are women I know in five military orgs. that would castrate any man they didn't like trying anything on and that would be tha kindest thing they would do.All the women have the smarts to get some type of contraceptive product.Yes, sex does occur but it is usually concesual . Having said that I do not believe in co-ed combat units. Men get really primitive around women and one of the unit gets wounded the effort to succour them increases beyond normal. When the wounded person is a women the efforts to get to her becomes suicidal. The navy did a study and found that the best crew for a sub is a all women one. I know of women tank crews in the IDF and many of their training staff are female. Personally I feel that men listen to a women more attentively, anyway women have their places in the militarybut not around anyone who believes or repeats the garbage you append to your question.

Okay... there are bad men and women in the military. 1st off I've seen women that use pregnancy as a crutch and I A WOMEN think that the military didn't give you a baby so deal with it. I've also seen men use kids as a crutch so I honestly don't want to hear it is just women. People are people and if you are willing to fight for your country 100% you shouldn't be judged just because you are a female. Again there are scandlous man and women in the military period

I truly believe that women are great in the military but some people perform better then others and are built better for combat the other. Stop trying to compare? We are not equal by any terms are bodys are built different...
I truly don't want to have to be put on selective service because some bimbo wanted equal rights for women I am a very small chick 5 3'' 100 lbs... the wind pushes me over. LoL....
I wouldn't have a prayer!!!

In my personal experience I dont like women in the military. There is defintiely a place for them in the military BUT in all the units ive been in women are held to different standards. Superiors are nicer to a female soldier. For instance, a female soldier missed flag call, she got a summarized article 15. week later my male friend missed flag call company grade article 15 14 days extra duty. They also aexpect you to cater to their moods. If women were held to the same standards as men than it would be great. But I dont think they will ever be held to the same standards.

Well, I think that there are all types of females in the military. For one I have served with some great people who can out perform male Soldiers in some aspects. But there are those females who are lazy, but there are also males who are lazy.

False! They do get treated differently so that's where the laziness comes from. As far as being sIuts, some are. But that's no different than in college or real life in another job. Yes, it is a sterotype, but just like any stero-type, there are people who fit the type.
