Highly doubtful. The HIV virus is very fragile outside of the body and lives a very short time. Plus, it takes a long time to develop into AIDS. Just one mans guess though. Im no expert

HIV cannot possibly be a biological weapon thanks to the fact that the virus dies when exposed to air, there is no way of spreading it save for sexual contact or exchange of body fluid, and that infected people take many years to even develop symptoms.

I believe it might be an escaped lab virus. However it began in monkeys and might be a naturally mutuated animal virus.
