Why do most people believe that the good guys have won most important conflicts? Or do we base our feelings of who the "good guys" were based on who won?

Are you allowed to purchase a handgun on your own as long as a higher official(s) approves it?

Can you purchase upgrades to your assault rifle, such as a scope, tactical light, different stock, etc.? (as before, as long as a higher official(s) approves it)

I imagine if you get approved to carry a certain handgun, that a thigh holster would be ok for that.

And how many feel that it’s just more fear-mongering to justify a horrendous fiasco in Iraq?

I remember as a kid being scared to death of the consequences of not winning in Vietnam. Obviously, the dire predictions of world domination by the communists (if we didn't defeat North Vietnam) did NOT come true. I keep wondering if once again the dire predictions of imminent world disaster if we don't win in Iraq are overblown.

What do you think??

I am trying to get back into the military, but I do not have my medical records for when I was discharged. I am trying to get them so that I can get a waiver on my previous discharge. That way I can get back in the military.

All you have to look at if the failures of Russia and The USA.
Russia goes into Afghanistan and can't rid the country of these maggots after many years. The USA leads coalition forces into Afghanistan and so far has acomplished absolutley nothing and now we have Isreal defending herself from these Hezbo maggots.

I omitted USA in Iraq as that invasion has nothing to do with radical terrorist groups such as Hamas and Hezbolla who have no regard for human life and would bomb your sister in the name of there BS religion.

I quote from BBC .....UN peacekeepers in south Lebanon contacted Israeli troops 10 times before an Israeli bomb killed four of them, an initial UN report says.
The post was hit by a precision-guided missile after six hours of shelling, diplomats familiar with the probe say.
UN-led crisis talks in Rome ended with no agreement to urge an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.
In ongoing clashes, up to 13 Israeli soldiers were reported killed in southern Lebanon on Wednesday.
Israel has not confirmed any deaths from among its soldiers, but says there have been 20 casualties in the clashes around the town of Bint Jbail, a strategically located Hezbollah stronghold.
Later, the centre of Tyre was hit by a massive explosion, possibly caused by an Israeli air strike.
More than 400 Lebanese and 42 Israelis have died in two weeks of conflict, which began after Hezbollah captured two Israeli soldiers in a cross-border raid on 12 July.

I mid east situation really bothers me.I've seen so many questions about WW3.I do know that the leaders from Germany and Italy back around WW2 were actaully Well Liked by America. It was Only after Pearl Harbor that things changed.
Back around 1970 America was friends with Iran.Almost 50 years later things have done a complete turn around.
I do not like what Israel is doing.I hear her claiming defense against poor condemned and doomed souls who have virtualy glorified fire crackers for weapoms compared to Israels military stregnth.
I do indeed have a higher power ar a God,but I am not swayed by esoterics.I see the fact that doomed people are being pummeled right now. War tends to be a racket and allies are constantly changing.
Every World War has a bad guy in the end. Also keep in mind the truth that HISTORY is written by the winners.
I really think that Israel is the trouble and instigter of the 3rd WW at worst.I think as time passes this country will be the proverbial WW3 BADGUY

I'm interested in enrolling in the Air Force JAG Program. I will be starting law school in Fall of 2007. I'm concerned about the financial aspects of paying for school. But, the AF website says they only offer tuition assistance for a few minority students and a small group of enlisted soldiers. I'm not currently enlisted.

Does anyone know if they offer scholarships to law school as part of their recruitment package?

Its not a question but I figured I would post this slideshow. It really makes you think about what troops and there family go through.....

I especially like the pic of the little girl holding up the pic. I guess its just the troop and the father in me...

As more women in The US and Europe get into the military, I'm curious on how this influence a society? I would like to hear someones opinion from personal experience; meaning you are either a woman in the military service involving battle/war situations or you are a man working with female soldiers or you are related or close to one of these.
If you have links to sites with statistics or other relevant information that would be appreciated.
