Why do most people believe that the good guys have won most important conflicts? Or do we base our feelings of who the "good guys" were based on who won?

Because the winners write the history books and they don't think of themselves as "bad guys"

If the Central Powers would have won World War 1 I don't think that the world of today would be much different, They were probably not "bad guys".

It depends. The more educated the less one will see it as black and white and with education comes shades of gray. This is the problem I have with the average Muslim. A religious leader tells a Muslim which way to think and then they think that way because they are uneducated, ignorant and into group think.

Look at the Catholic Church during the dark ages, Pope told the uneducated, ignorant how to think and peasantry thought the way the church wanted then to think. And this kept the wealthy in line as well because the church would sick the peasantry on the well to do.

Until we get everyone at a level that they can read, listen and think for themselves, then we will always have wars. My philosophy is, "When we can get all people to think for themselves, war will never be stopped and when we do then those that would harm to others will be called murders and not soldiers."

....Blame Hollywood. You're correct!

Most people just rather be happy if the "good guys" won and everybody lived happily ever-after... end of story...

The reality to this is.. that's a buncha bullshit.

We lost the Vietnam war.

We captured Saddam, however, the war still continues. We haven't really won that war, or any of the "war conflicts on terrorism."

But.. come soon, if the U.S. grants amnesty on these retards, you will for sure see the "good guys" win on this one!
