Should a bomber pilot go ahead and bomb a civilian population center and almost certainly kill and maim many innocent civilians to possibly kill one or two " insurgents?"

Or were those two poor men just screwed regardless? This was a tit-for-tat killing which of course is complete & utter bullsh!t because we blew their Satanic leader up, we didn't ' toture' or ' slaughter' him. I'm mad as hell & equally full of pain for the family & friends of these fine soldiers....

I'll tell you why. The American Troops are fighting for a paycheck. If you take that paycheck away the all powerful USA military will stop fighting. The Insurgents are fighting for their country and their way of life and they ( Insurgents ) have pride. The Insurgents are fighting due to the fact they have been invaded by the Americans and they ( Insurgents ) will fight to the end of time. The USA troops will be defeated like we were defeated in Vietnam. Shame on the USA and shame on the Troops for going to Iraq.

Did I miss a meeting, or isn't war actually an agent for PROLONGING terror? When you control the dictionary of what constitutes terrorism, how do you ultimately win or end a war on terror, except by killing everyone who disagrees with you? Isn't the right way to fight a war on terror by ensuring everyone has a home, enough to eat and drink, an education and all the other things that help conquer fear, uncertainty and hatred? Just a thought...

There is no way in the world the USA ( Marines, Army, Navy, Air force ) is going to beat the Insurgents. No way! Sure, we will fight for another 18 months to two years but after the next election the new President will pull the troops and run just like we did in Vietnam. Those insurgents will never back down and say "OK....You win! We like your puppet Government so now let's have a cup of coffee and be friends". No Way that is going to happen and you warmongers should know that. Yesterday the poor American Troops got a butt beating and tomorrow the troops will get a beating again. Do you agree the USA should be ashamed for getting us involved in a Vietnam type war again?

I have a general idea why the US is still in Iraq. But what seems odd to me is this: there didn't seem to be as much violence due to insurgents before we invaded in 2003. Now it's neverending. And there doesn't seem to be an end in sight. Everyone will say that that coalition forces can't just pull out now (even though Japan just did) because Iraq will fall to insurgent forces. I get this. I'm just wondering how we (the US) got into this mess in the first place. It seems we are fighting a war we cannot win, and our president still expects to win.

I think it would be a good idea that our military come up with an injectable GPS chip. So if they are going to be taken captive they can inject it or swallow it. Then we could track them down. Any thoughts or opinions??

I'm concerned because of our present war in Iraq, the growing tensions in Iran and, now, North Korea's missle testing that will hit California's shore.

Historians help me out! Should we be afraid?

Our enemy does not adhere to the Geneva Conventions. Why should we. THey get away with crap, but we have three soldiers charged with murder. What's wrong with this picture. Why do we always have to held to a higher standard, and be criticized by every other country on the planet?

His regime wants equal rights because they are homosexual. I say give them some rights-there is no need to discriminate or cause physical harm to general population over the admitted claim of homosexuality of Taliban leaders and the protected Bin Laden. I, an AMERICAN citizen, accept this behavior for what it is and will not target Taliban or other militants for this reason. May Allah bless us all.

I am SICK and TIRED of MILITANT REGIMES like Northern Vietnam-Iran-Former and fading Iraq, Afghanistan. A lot of the world expects U.S. to police it, and keep it somewhat civil. WE CAN NOT POLICE THE WORLD!! As an American citizen, I don't want to raise Osama's children right, if he's going to hide in a cave. And since he is a worthless example of a leader-he should lead an initiative to clean the world's toilets. He would have little resistance, and control the market. (something he wants to do-control) I feel a turd coming, Osama-where are are you?
