There are several veterans organizations like, AMVETS, DAV, etc that help veterans, at no charge to get benefits from their service to our country. The local VA should be where you and these organizations will help you to start. You don't state where he lives or is planning to live, so I didn't google or yahoo any local services, but you can find the Veterans Administration for local areas in YP.Yahoo.com once you put in a zip.

It is sad the conditions some of our Veterans must deal with. They were trained to deal with great adversity to defend our country, but they deserve more than is afforded them when their service is completed.

definite, i'm. did you understand all people that has to apply the VA healthcare? I do. they oftentimes wait numerous months to be in a position to get an appointment and then could stress 2 hours to get there. no longer to coach the care will be particularly crappy. If someone is getting undesirable care they could't bypass to a diverse health center like those with inner most coverage can. i imagine that our Veterans should have health coverage so as that they could bypass to personal hospitals. the authorities procuring Veteran's health coverage would merely be an corporation paying an worker's advantages. the authorities paying a private corporation for a service somewhat of instantly providing that service itself would make the authorities smaller, proper? i'm no longer speaking about scheduled appointments. i'm speaking about particular circumstances and appointments that desire to get replaced. i'm no longer a Vet., and for this reason don't have any personal adventure with the VA. i'm, although, very close to to at least one and they have not all started to have a competent adventure. The wait time for appointments is unacceptable and the many of the docs are impolite - even insulting at cases. As with some thing i'm effective that some places of paintings are better appropriate than others. between the most important problems with the VA is that that's a monopoly for Veteran care. in case you get stuck with a crappy workplace you do not have an option.

The Veterans Administration is the first step. The VA medical service is one of the best medical services available these days. They do a great job of caring for this old retired colonel.

Perhaps try contacting the nearest Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, they may be able to point you in the right direction. Hope that helps.
