The United States has always considered a nuclear bomb an absolute last resort after the 2 Atomic Bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of WWII.
Most countries, with the exception of Iran and North Korea, have nuclear weapons as a preventative measure rather than an offensive measure.
Point is: it would take a lot to make the United States use a nuke, it wouldn't take all that much for Iran or North Korea to.

We have the power yet we don't use it. These other countries will and there is a good chance we would feel the effects of allowing them to build nuclear weapons

While its true we lost the moral high ground after Hiroshima/Nagasak, indeed even after Dresden, but we have tried to recover for the sake of global security. What the alternative? Can you imagine nukes being controlled by rogue states, rogue leaders and martyrs?

No because might is right and if they don't do what we say we will blown them up. We are a stable country unlike Iran and North Korea, we are ruled by laws not men so we won't bomb someone just because we don't like them.

No it is not. Unlike America and Israel, Iran wants the weapon to obliretate Israel and the west. I urge you to think clearly and give up moral relativism. It's a bad disease.
