Or were those two poor men just screwed regardless? This was a tit-for-tat killing which of course is complete & utter bullsh!t because we blew their Satanic leader up, we didn't ' toture' or ' slaughter' him. I'm mad as hell & equally full of pain for the family & friends of these fine soldiers....

It upsets me with these particular 2 men BECAUSE OF THE WAY THEY WERE KILLED, BY WHO KILLED THEM & THE REASON FOR WHICH THEY WERE KILLED. ALSO, BECAUSE IT WAS A KIDNAPPING THAT LEFT HOPE ALIVE FOR AT LEAST A BRIEF MOMENT. I care very much for all the others that have been buried thus far as well as for their families. I personally knew someone who was killed in Iraq. Be he, along with the many others was not kidnapped, totured & whatnot while waiting for his fellow soldiers to hopefully save him!!!!!!!!

It should make you feel sick. The means and methods of terrorists are disgusting. However it should also be a constant reminder that this the enemy, and this is what we are fighting. It is important that we stay our course and be vigilant. Soldiers understand the risks, and yet they choose to take them, and in doing so honor us with their very presence and selfless dedication. We should always strive to honor them in the same way.
To Erudite just remember that without these dedicated soldiers your right to go to college, or to free speech for that matter would not exist.

This war started as a tit-for-tat killing from a long time ago. Have we forgotten that? What about the other soldiers and hostages that have died in this war, any war, or training exercises for that matter? I'm just as upset as the next person. It's a shame when anyone dies but, it is a part of the circle of life. Get used to hearing this, it's only going to get worse and more frequent. War is here to stay. If this offends you, I'm sorry that's not my intention. My intention is to get you to think and realize that these aren't the first killings of this sort and they certainly won't be the last.

What's sad about the whole issue is that we shouldn't even be there right now anyway. Everyone knows the Bush Admin. knew that Iraq had no WMD's before going there to install an American friendly government. The whole invasion had been planned for years before 9/11. People must understand the the whole war on terror is a huge fallacy, with a sole purpose of controlling oil and drugs in Eurasia.
Besides, there's always been a war on terror... How do you think the United States of America started?
Our forefathers broke free from British oppression in the beginning of this great republic.
The real question remains, why have large corporations been allowed to control our economy, and why has the government been allowed to get away with allowing oil companies to rule our way of life?
This wouldn't even be a problem if the people of the US would stand up to our government, as our forefathers intended, and do the right thing with regard to alternative fuels. America needs to be independent from outside, and internal oil influences!!!

You should be a helluva lot madder from the whole beginning because I'm so mad over this whole war. The President is acting like a little boy with toy soldiers playing a game of Risk. To me he has no compassion of the soldiers I say he is destroying. The war should be over the got some of the main terrorist that pounced on New York now bring back our soldiers and forget about what ever else happened over there and take care of home(USA) like the President should be doing.

Its a shame when we see this... I am a marine and i know for a fact that the military did everything they could to find those 2 soldiers. It's just the casualties of war. They were taken pow's and unlike previous wars these people do not take prisoners the way the Geneva convention says they should. No pow should be killed they are to be treated humanely and the fact that they killed these 2 shows that we are indeed fighting an evil group of people...

Then I suggest you join up and go kill some of those wrong god worshipping Muslims and when you kill one of "THEM" everyone can cheer and if you get killed everyone can mourn and talk about how bravely you died for your flag. (Of course the accolades won't make you any less dead) If that's a little too much for you maybe you can be assigned to a prison camp where you can just poke em with cattle prods and stuff. Soldiers are pawns that's what they do kill and get killed, whereas there are many innocent Iraqis wondering what they did to have their innocent non-combatant children killed.

Unfortunate this is the price of war we fight clean and they fight dirty. As I have friends over there I can tell you it’s a unfair war they are moving targets and everyone is a possible assassin its not save for U.S. troops its not a war we can win easy without many lost of lives because they don’t care for their own lives its puts our troops in more danger then any war they ever been in. Its not that we can do much about it but to put bigger squads in groups of 4 so they can back each other up if they get ambush

Unfortunately they were screwed the moment the terrorist pulled them into their van. What the terrorist did is considered a tactic to them. They believe that by inflicting horrible acts on us will break our will and make us quit.
This is what we are fighting over there. And what they did shows why we must win because they have no plans in stopping if we leave.

Sadly, it is probably best that they died quickly. These terrorist animals never would have returned them alive and would have just paraded them on al-Jazeera before cutting their heads off. I love how we are demonized for putting enemy combatants in Guantanamo, where they are fed, sheltered and given medicial condition and these extremist animals don't even show the smallest bit of humanity or honor ever.
