I need an anecdote for an essay, i have never had a gun story myself

1...Each gun buyer to produce a mental-health certificate
before a purchase can be approved.
2...Owner negligent in safe custody of arms whether at home
or outdoors to be heavily fined or jailed
3...No person shall own more than one rifle or hand-gun

So far there seems to be an absolutely free and convenient way to get hold of any weapon by anyone, sane or insane to create havoc in public. The media reports freely, copy-cats desiring for action and fame, are ever-ready to re-enact the incidents or even to set some kind of record-breaking. Our attitude and culture need some waking up, really so as to prevent any more loss of innocent lives.
Concerned opinions and comments most appreciated.

There were no rights read, and consent was not asked. This was in New Jersey. The teenager was 15. No previous crime record. They were not arrested, but phone number, address, name, and high school location was. They were not told why they were being searched, only told that they "looked suspicions, and 'looked' like they were trying to break into a store." It was 11:02 pm. They had weed and a pipe (neither were found). Was the cop right?

they comment the crime and then blame it on the fact that the police focus more on them, heres a idea dont break the law and you wont go to jail

My friend has gotten pulled over 50 times roughly. And has received about 10-15 tickets. I don't think he has a shot with the background check being such a crucial part of the process of application.

i was pulled over for rolling through a stop sign. there was also a flashing red light above it. i was ticketed for the stop sign AND the flashing red light.

but isn't it the exact same thing? doesn't flashing red mean stop? and if it's in the same place at the same time?

yes, i know i should've been more careful. but it was 4:30 in the morning! i think the cop didn't have anything better to do.

what do you think?

My boyfriend got pulled over this morning... and he had to sign on this electronic thing.
The thing must have messed up or something because he says his signature isn't anywhere on the ticket itself...
So does he still have to pay the fine?

I won't bore you with the torrid details...but..if police have a bench warrant, NOT a search warrant, and they believe juvinile son is in my home (he has not commited a crime, other then not following DHS guide lines) #1.Do I have to let them in? #2 Can they search my entire home? #3..If so, are they allowed to search places that would be impossible to hide? ie: drawers, or top of shelves in closets, medicine cabinets. even though it is obvious a 120# person could not hide there. #4. If in that search they saw / found paraphernalia (old pot pipe)would it be considered probable cause to tear my house up looking drugs? Any words of wisdom, other then I shoudn't have kept souvenirs from past, would be appreciated. Thanks

homicide detective. They are still young, but what steps should take now to ensure my future dream does come true? I just don't want to raise my children in a big city and also, it is a very time consuming job and I want to be able to watch my kids grow. Should I take classes or where should I begin?

Can a criminal case that's been reported and later dropped be used during trial by the DA against the defendant? Even though it was previously dropped way before the court trial? BTW, this is in California.

lane changes, and show common courtesy, is when a police officer is spotted near by. Then EVERYBODY obeys the law. Other than that the drivers here don't give a hoot for other road users, no signals,ETC It's a dangerous state to drive in. almost as bad as New York city

She was charged with driving under the influence, possesison of class c drug, criminal tresspassing, and phone harrassment.

What do you think she will get!
She is not my friend, I am the one who got the warrant on her for telephone harrassment and criminal tresspassing.

We live in Tennessee, and she is 20. I think she might be on probation, but not for sure. She does have a record.

What do you think will happen.
