I agree with you on the fact that people blame the fact that there are more blacks in jail/prision on racism by the police and courts.

They deny the fact that black might just commit more crime than whites.

I know much of the crime rates has to do with economic status and blacks are statistically more likley to be in a lower economic status than whites. But it is not becuase they are black that they are arrested it is becuase they have commited a crime.

take a look at Famous rich people. Do you see more black rich (millionare) hip hop artist being arrested for violent crimes, Drugs and other things like that than you do let's say Country music artist? Also look at the professional athletes More black Pros go to jail than whites.

Ray Caruth, Ray Lewis, Micheal vic, Tank Johnson And the list goes on.

When I was a Sheriff's Deputy I always use to hear "you are only arresting me becuase I am black!" And my answer would be " You are right, It has nothing to do with the 20 crack rocks you had on you!"

Are there parts of the judical system that are unfair? Yes, but it isnt becuase of color it is becuase of money. OJ Simpson is proof color skin has less to do with getting away with murder than the size of your bank account.

The poor have a less capable defense and are more likley to be found guilty.

And those that talk about sentencing not being the same for blacks and white. It is just not true. Whites and blacks with the same finacial staus to obtian lawyer of the same caliber get the same sentence.

that is true. but there are injustices ...not all but a lot of black defendants do not have the money to get out of crimes the white guys would..they do not have money for lawyers to buy their way out..they must use appointed attorneys who have so many cases as it is they do not know half the facts nor do they care they just try and make it as quick as possible for the most part and these men are pretty much granted no deal or lesser punishment that someone with their own attorney could achieve. the system has a long way to go to be fair and just.

I agree with you on not breaking the law. As to why they blame the system well by blaming everyone but themselves they don't have to take responsibility for their action. This is true of all races though.

Yes, they may commit the crime but what they are more upset about is that if a black man and a white man both with the same criminal background and in court for the same crime more times than not the white guy will get a lesser sentence or fine,or be let go all together with a slap on the wrist while the black guy would get a much harsher penalty

a vicious cycle of "blame the man". Chris rock did a tongue -in-cheek take on this with his Nat X character.
