lane changes, and show common courtesy, is when a police officer is spotted near by. Then EVERYBODY obeys the law. Other than that the drivers here don't give a hoot for other road users, no signals,ETC It's a dangerous state to drive in. almost as bad as New York city

It's so much easier to just obey the traffic laws then you don't have to have the stress of constantly watching for a policeman

I recently drove through Alabama, and I was impressed that the drivers know how to enter the highway. They don't know how to do that in Texas, or evidently South Carolina.

The obey the law when the police are around because they have to. If there's no cop, there's no one to arrest them.

Because they have insurance. If they have an accident ,"Whiplash Willie" will beat the insurance for a new car and fake injuries. As soon as you have compulsory insurance, the accident rate goes thru the roof. Health insurance, the hypochondriacs come out of the woodwork and drug sales go thru the roof. More cops? crime goes way up. Never fails.

It is like that everywhere you go. When I am in a police car, no one speeds, everyone uses the turn signal and follows all the laws. When I am driving home in my car, not so much.
