Law Enforcement & Police - April 2007

I always see videos on the net where the police are telling bystanders to turn off their video cameras during a traffic stop or whatever. Sometimes the officer gets angry and threaten the camera person and appear that they are going to take physical action to prevent themselves from being taped.
If the officer acts appropriately then what would they have to be afraid of? Most cruisers are equipped with a dashboard camera and audio anyways.
The reason I ask, is that I was thinking of installing a few cameras and a microphone in my car and recording the video to a PC installed in the trunk. I would use it mainly at the race track.
If I was pulled over could the officer demand I turn off the video recording..assuming he notices? Maybe its playing on the TV in the dash or something. What might be the consequences if I refuse?

My wife and I allowed a 16 year old cousin of my wife to come live with us. She was not respecting me so I told my wife I wanted out of the custody filing for her but I wouldn't stop her from getting custody. I removed myself from the court papers before the costody was awarded to my wife. I never even really talked to the girl. Would I still be considered the minor’s natural or adoptive parent, stepparent, guardian, or custodian, or person?

Ok. This is for my business law class.

Imagine being in the time of the sinking of the titanic.
I am the Defense attorney, and i need to put the blame OFF of White Star Lines. I have received many ridiculous answers, God, Poseidon....i mean, i need something i can actually defend..Sure, the captain is responsible, however....i need to find out all of the facts.
Who do you think should be the blame?
Why do you believe this?
How do you think i should propose this?
Thank you, and please help me with tips...

I hear they have outlawed owning a certain number or combination of chemicals that are legal to purchase, so having two or three things in combination that are used to make meth can get you arrested now, even though the chemicals are legal to buy. I am confused about these laws.

I have alot of hobbies that entail buying chemicals. I like to make homemade soap, with lye. Sometimes I melt the soap down with sodium carbonate and borax to make homemade liquid laundry detergent. I make homemade candles. I have always enjoyed chemistry and like making my own products.

So sometimes when I am out buying lye and other chemicals I get worried because I hear now they have laws so just having legal chemicals can get you arrested, because meth is made out of legal chemicals. But I'm not sure which ones.

If I continue with my home made soap making and stuff, could I be prosecuted under meth laws for owning the chemicals?

I have a lot of friends who are CHP officers and they've told me some crazy stories about people trying to get out of a speeding ticket. What have you done to get out of a speeding ticket? I would like to hear them.

The term affray doesn't sound serious enough for someone that attacks another, and has a weapon they obviously have taken with them for the purpose of hurting or the least frightening them.
