If a speed limit is posted, it is required. If you travel faster than the posted number, you can get a ticket. As a matter of fact, an officer can also write a ticket for speeding even if you are going slower than the limit. The officer in this case makes a judgment call and uses the basic speed rule which states, "violator was traveling at a speed which was not appropriate for the current conditions", the conditions can mean the weather, an accident scene or any other circumstance that the police officer can explain to the judge to prove his point against you!

yeah, but you would probably kill yourself if you went any faster. Of course your age, level of driving experience, type of car, road conditions and grade of the turn are all factors to consider.
