Sept.'05 I was walking back home, I crossed an avenue in NYC at the "WALK" sign, in the crosswalk, soberly & lawfully. A rainy night, I saw no oncoming traffic bearing down on me. I reached the middle of the avenue & was struck with hi-impact by a car - a 19-yr old girl & her BF, with REVOKED licenses. They stopped, they told police that they "never saw" me crossing. I crossed with the WALK light. I awoke in ICU - with spinal fractures, broken legs, broken pelvis, & for 1st time ever, a MASSIVE heart attack, from loss of blood & stressful shock to my heart. I now have only 1/3 living heart tissue, the rest is dead scar tissue from the attack. I am in heart failure & swollen with water edema badly & cannot walk freely anymore. No cures, or remedies to resolve this. The NYC DA gave them only a $50 misdeamenor ticket for driving unlicensed. DA says that with no witnesses, no evidence of malice intent, no proof of reckless driving, they are clear of guilt. Why is law so lenient?

Sometimes I like to go for horseback rides in the hills. I am half indian so I feel it is only appropriate to stick with my roots. After taking some peyote and LSD I took my clothes off and we rode into the hills. My horse kept going on about how Rod Stewart is too old to be making music when all of a sudden, a park ranger flagged me down! He asked why I was naked and I told him it was my right. I don't feel the playground adjacent to me was any excuse for the arrest. I told him my horse is a carnivore and I guess he didn't believe me. Should I get a lawyer and fight this? I feel my indian rights have been trampled..

I dont drink any more and I'm trying to get my life in order I never realy got into allot of trouble but I did do allot of traveling and racked up little mistermeaner warrents all over the place and I have to say all the petty things that I did can really add up .I have thought about it and short of spending the rest of my life traveling from place to place sitting in jail their isn't much that can be done .Is their some way to change my identity enough to were I can at least get a job with out my employer finding out about all this stuff.Because of the internet it seams to be a little to easy these day's for just about anyone with your name and birth date to do a full back ground check on you.Wich really I feel realy is a bad break for someone trying to turn thing's around. It seems people in this world seem to think that it is hard to get in a scape with the law.I guess some people have just been lucky.Advice is appreciated even ideas on getting under the table job's would help

About 2 weeks ago in Southington, CT 2 grown men (ages 27 & 33) were arrested for shooting darts at random pedestrians from their car using a blowgun. It was determined they thought it was a funny prank. Anyway, they were caught and I was wondering what is the likelihood they will serve jail time for this?

Here are a few sentences from the article in the paper so you get a feel for what they did:

‘In an incident that at first left police incredulous, two men were charged Thursday in Southington with shooting a man in the leg with a blowgun.

The man was one of three people shot apparently at random in the space of half an hour Thursday in Plainville and Southington. In all three cases, the attackers drove past their victim as they fired, police said.

"They thought it was funny," Southington Police spokesman Sgt. Lowell DePalma said.

A few minutes later, a woman pumping gas at a service station a short distance from the shopping center was hit in the back.'
