IF 10 POLICEMAN AND UNDERCOVER AGENTS CAME TO YOUR HOUSE AND THEY TOLD YOU THAT YOU WOULD NOT HAVE TO BE PUNISHED FOR ANYTHING YOU WOULD ONLY GET PROBATION. WILL THE STATEMENT THEY RECIEVED FROM YOU BE ADMISSIABLE IN COURT AND DOES THERE HAVE TO BE A WITNESS TO WHAT IS BEING SAID AND WRITIN DOWN?

Last night my car was stolen by a former friend. I almost filed a stolen car report with the police, but the police said that the person would get a felony and go to jail. So I decided that was too harsh. I found the car this afternoon near the thief's house. I took the car back with my spare key, but there was a parking ticket on the windshield. (No parking 3-6 am during winter - $29). Am I responsible for paying this ticket since I never gave permission for this person to drive my car? (He still has my keys.)

A quote comes to mind that may help you answering this question
"Many you live deserve life and many who die deserve life, do not be too quick to deal out death in judgement"
People could be executed when innocent for example.

I have had over £1300 in fines, most are parking tickets for parking outside my own flat, which are unavoidable since I dont own a helicopter and dont have a heli-pad. Other fines include selling a car that was in the end (after5 months) without tax, fault of the new owner!! I am staggered at my punishment for simply going about my daily business, which in no way has harmed any body else, my crime is simply "That is the law" I think that the government would be screwed if people stopped commiting these "crimes" and would up the rate of income tax to compensate, "crime pays for the government"!!!!!!! Where does this fine money go???

the last two persons who've had the most important job in the known UNIVERSE were both users/abusers in their youth. I know this is a question that "makes
a statement more than asks for an answer," but I DO want some thoughtful response here. Shouldn't the "past drug use" question be a lot less emphasized if not eliminated?

Ok, stay with me here. I know a person who is a career drug addict; she has been jailed for abandoning her child at a meth clinic in order to get high; has been in rehab numerous times; she has committed various crimes to get drugs and now has a warrant out for her arrest.

She just came back from a stint in rehab and two days later she disappeared after going to the store. I've heard she is flopping at a crack house in my neighborhood and I'm thinkning about picking her up and taking her back to her family.

I would like to call the police and have them do it, but apparently they have been called many times about this particular house, as well as this girl, so chances are they will not respond.

I am at the end of my rope. I realise more rehab will do nothing, but I am sick of seeing this woman abandon her family time and again. Is there anything I can do? Thanks.

I have summons for two reckless driving tickets in the state of Virginia and I am a resident of Maryland. I have a prefect record other than of course these two recent tickets. Im really scaried now... I admit I was speeding for the first one but the second ticket the cop pulled me over for no reason. I had the cuise control on so I wouldn't get a ticket again... But all the cop said to me was I need to get my car checked out and handed me a ticket for going exactly 20mph over the speed limit and I was only going 65(ten miles over). He was determined to give me a ticket for reckless driving... He asked how fast I was going and stated the 65 but he said my speed was reckless even though it was ten over going with morning rush hour traffic. I have a lawyer but has anyone been through this before? I don't even live in this state I just work there, whats the process? And how does this usually work? Thank you all

I don't want to go into the specifics, but what is the worst that could happen if I mace someone (not in self defense) according to the law? It would be for the person's own good, but I have a feeling that they might sue me when the dust settled.

I am at a loss my daughter was arrested last week for stealing $789 from her work, and when she was arrested she volunteered she had pot on her, so they got her on both. She spent the nite in jail (my choice for her mistake) and now we have to deal with this, i did find $500 in her car that day and brought it back to the cops, they said it helped by doing that. I have called the DA and they said someone would call me about a diversify program they have, and it will help i just dont know any details yet. Her court date is in march, this is her first arrest, and i am putting her in counseling NOW before the first arrainment, i am at a lost i know nothing, cant afford a lawyer, so i am hoping working with the DA;s office will help. I just dont know what to do, what this will do to her, and they mentioned on the phone we might can do an espongement later? any advice to calm down this worried mother would be appreciated. SHE Was wrong and did admit to it and i know she has to pay the price.
