There is a local woman here who alledgedly has murdered serveral times and gotten by with it. I know for a fact she is a thief. The people she aledgedly murdered were her husband and two sons for the insurance, and she has reportedly knocked off people who owed her money. She is a monster. She alledgedly had an old lady's arm broke so she would sign her will over to her. I think the city and county police are afraid of her and will not investigate her. She lived in Terlingua, Tx when her husband comitted suicide ( a gun shot to the back of the head) Alledgedly, she was having an affair with the sheirff there. Her husband was cremated in hours of his death. These are just a few things she has done. She cheated her own daughter out of her inheritence.

A few years ago, the police siezed a number of items of computer equipment in a fraud investigation. However, they found no evidence and I was never charged with anything. I recieved a letter saying that all investigations were now complete and I had no crimes to answer for (as I expected).

However, they lost the equipment, totalling about £1000. The officer dealing with the case has told me that I should recieve compensation and he would fight in my corner.

How will they compensate me? Obviously they will pay for the equipment but what about the inconvienience?

The police force in question is Leicestershire Constabulary.

I am unable to speak to the officer as he is currently on extended leave for a month!

My wife's purse was stolen and her credit cards used at several places across town in a pathetic spending spree of gas and cigarettes. When we met the cops at one of the stores and arranged to view the video evidence, the cops and manager just went off alone leaving us standing there like idiots. When they came back the cops gave us a full description. So why couldn't we have just watched it? I live in California.

This man has a dirty past and has child abuse charges and an active Department of Social Service investigation on him. I called the mayor of the town he works in and he is not responding.I guess they are good buddies. This man is a danger to the community and I need to know who to speak to to investigate him.

Here's the deal. I got a letter from the DMV saying my license is expiring on my 21st b-day. But it said I had to get a form filled out by an eye doctor to renew. I figured I'd get around to it eventually, but today I got pulled over for passing on the right. The cop gave me 2 tickets: passing on the right and expired license (less than 60 days). First of all, all my friends said they had new licenses sent to their homes without any renewal process (when they were 21). Does everyone have to fill out the eye form? Second of all, how many points does my 2 tickets net me? Third of all, if it turns out that the DMV was supposed to have sent me my renewed license directly, does that get me off of the ticket?
Thanks, all.

When I was 12, I wanted to hang out with the "cool" older kids. I was rebellious at the time and was getting in trouble a lot. I met a guy who was supposedly the leader of this "gang" and he was 21 years old. We hung out a few times, I even called him my boyfriend. One afternoon we agreed that he would pick me up from school (my middle school) and we'd go hang out at one of his friends' house. We hung out for a little while, then he asked me to come into the bedroom. He took off my pants, he took off his and he began having sex with me. I didn't say no, I didn't know what to do. He finished and I was confused. I was a virgin. We hung out again and the same thing happened, except that I was on my period. Again, I didn't say no. When it happened, my body was still, like I couldn't move until he was done. I know by definition this would be considered statutory rape. But now, I'm 24 and I still feel disgusting. Was this rape?

I had to take a carrer test in school that said that law and security were my third highest interest. I decided to see what it was like and it piqued my curiosity. I was wondering what the requirements are to be a police officer, the benefits, and what exactly they do? Hollywood has seemed to overexagerate some things just to make their stories have some interest.

I've noticed on episodes of Law and Order, or Without A Trace, when they go and question possible witnesses or suspects, that they get the door closed in their faces, refusals to talk, etc. I know these shows aren't reality, so in the "real world", is it not necessarily required for you to talk to the officers if they approach you?
