My son was murdered on 06/22/1995. I have not found out why. The police told me that they couldn't release any information on the case to the public. I didn't consider myself (his mother) to be the public. I feel I have a right to know the details surrounding my son's death. He was only 24 years old. Please HELP!!!

I've seen it so many times. A cop pulls up to the red light, flips on his siren, drives through the intersection, and then turns it off. This abuse of power makes me sick. What can be done about it?

My brother is a bad alcoholic. Well last night his friend drove his car and crashed it in a ditch and they walked home. His friend left. Cops found the car and came to his house. When they got there he said wait, let me put my dog in the cage, the cop busted in, the dog attacked the cop. He got the dog off the cop and put him in a cage. Then he went into the bathroom to brush his teeth, cop said what are you doing, he said brushing my teeth, cop asked why, he said personal f**king hygiene, dont you have any? Cop cuffed him, took him to jail. He refused breathalizer and denied driving, they couldnt hold him so took him home. This is in Ohio. What do you think will happen to the dog and what can I do to get him to stop drinking?

I was shocked to hear that cabinet minister David Blunkett recently said that Britain's prison population has been ballooning over the past ten years.

How disgusting that convicted rapists, murderers and paedophiles are given thrill-of-a-lifetime hot air balloon rides whenever they feel like it. I'd love a nice balloon ride, but no, a good citizen like myself has to slog their guts out for the city council all week.

Thanks for listening.

Do you think the police should shoot terror suspects if they run away? I refer to the Jean Charles de Menezes case in Stockwell tube in London.

My personal view is that in order to not let terrorists infiltrate our society, we must show them that we mean business and if you are trying to carry out an attack, you will be shot. Jean Charles de Menezes must have been acting very suspiciously, as the armed section of the police are extremely well trained.

I took the advise offered, and went to the PD. I asked to speak, in privacy, with someone skilled with teens. My intention was to find someone who could talk to this kid.

I got this rude cop that said immediately "we aren't in the business of raging to kids." He got upset when I turned around and asked to talk to someone with skills. There were 3 more cops available, and nobody flinched. I did not feel comfortable with this one, and felt provoked because the guy was yelling out to everyone else that I was upset just because I didn't like what he told me, and shared my question with everyone. He escalated a petty inquiry, and today I am turning in a sworn complaint about him. i didn't feel he had the right to talk to me like that when I just wanted assistance from the police to prevent an accident.

Can nobody turn to cops for assistance and be treated civily?

I am of 15 years of age and own a paintball gun. i have fun and keep it on My or my parents property. But recently a neighbor came by very mad yelling that i had almost hit his wife with a pellet/airsoft. I hadnt done this at all cuz i know ive never fired a bullet out of the yard. But he actually said he'll call every cop in the city after me. First off, it was night, how was the wife able to see the bullet, second off, if it landed near her she could tell it was paint, and third off, how much trouble could i get in?

In a story, I have two characters who are in jail for the night, becasue they were caught in a gang fight, so here are the questions, please answer what ever you know

What does the inside of a jail cell look like?
Should there be a specific reason for their release?
Is it okay for the officers to have put them there for only one night.?
How do they release them?
In which manner would their shoelaces and belts be returned?

okay this kid says he put a personal protection order against me but i was never notified of it, so i called the police station and they said you have to be served papers in order for the personal protection order to take place, well tonight i was at my friends house and this kid showed up and said he was going to call the police if i didnt leave and i told him that if i was there first he had to leave and he said thats not what the police told him, and i told him go ahead and call the police because i was never served any papers so with that, since i was there first did i have to leave if the personal protection order was real or he had to leave?

on television, detectives use flashlights when they could just as easily turn on a light first to check out a room. Is this a television thing to make it seem more suspenseful or is it done in real life.
