I am of 15 years of age and own a paintball gun. i have fun and keep it on My or my parents property. But recently a neighbor came by very mad yelling that i had almost hit his wife with a pellet/airsoft. I hadnt done this at all cuz i know ive never fired a bullet out of the yard. But he actually said he'll call every cop in the city after me. First off, it was night, how was the wife able to see the bullet, second off, if it landed near her she could tell it was paint, and third off, how much trouble could i get in?

I am admittedly old, but I have to wonder what has become of simple human consideration. There was a time when children were taught that invading another person's space without invitation was rude.

I live in a neighborhood that is a real mixed bag, we run the gammut from serious gun rack redneck to yuppies jogging with their 2.3 kids in the special jogging set up.

I look out my kitchen window and I see show dogs and nasty looking pit bulls being walked by people with tatoo's.

It's all good to me. As long as we respect each other and one another's space.

Seems to me you invaded this woman's space and law asside, you frightened her. You may not have meant to, but you did. The right way to resolve this is for you to go and see her and tell her you are sorry, and then talk about boundaries.

It works for neighbors, and it can work for Nations.

Consider antagonists as two dots, the shortest distance between them is a straight line, logic dictates that you go to her. How can you go to her and expect a good result?
Admit you scared her, and say you are sorry. How can you both have closure? Talk to each other, leave the cops out, leave parents out....talk and resolve.

It is how the world works. Or so it often seems to me.

Well, my kids just went to the park last week and got their clothes ruined by the paint in the guns that you are using.
Paintball is a fun thing to do, but you have got to do it where NOBODY will get splatttered of hit with it that is not playing!!
If you don't want to get in trouble, you should not fired it or even look like you're going to fire it near another house.
As far as how much trouble you are in, my city is starting to take this stuff seriously and will prosecute anyone that is intentionally firing a paintball gun around others or destroying property with it.
Have some fun, but take it somewhere else.

P.S. These paintballs were not water or soapbased, they are having a difficult time removing it from the metal signs in the park area as well. Some paintballs are just different I guess.
And I don't think you are a bad guy for paintballing, I had a bad experience.

1. Wives are psychics.
2. Paint isn't too difficult to figure out, exspecially if there is a ball sitting by her.
3. Most likely you wouldn't get in trouble if you didn't do anything wrong, and you had people backing you up. Really just tell the cops the truth, there's no way they would know it was you in the first place, so really it's wrongful accusations. Tell your parents what happened and they should back you up .

haha, I've had the cops called on my brother for shooting a bb gun at someone's house. The cop just told us it wasn't really illegal, but we need to be aware of our backdrop ;)

Don't worry about it, you didn't do anything wrong.

First off, your a minor. More likely your parents would be liable for your actions. Second, If your telling the truth and you didn't do it it would be up to them to prove differently. As far as calling the cops, if he could have proved you did anything he probably would have called them in the first place and not threatened you with them. Just keep your nose clean and make certain you don't shoot anything in any ones direction at all and all will most likely blow over. If you do you (or your parents) could be liable for any damages, medical bills and maybe vandalism charges.

I've never heard of clothes being ruined because of paint balls'..the paint is based in soap!

But anyways.....if you live within city limits you can get in trouble for firing your paint ball gun at a neighbor. We have a whole neighborhood full of kids who did this and got fined, well the parents were fined and the kids had them taken away.

i did not rather like Russell type earlier I watched the Brits instruct. i might in basic terms ever considered him on vast Mouth and did not incredibly provide it plenty time through fact it become BB appropriate. I could say that i thought he become hilarious, brilliantly humorous and he regarded so very organic by the instruct. specific his jokes have been risque, yet is there incredibly absolutely everyone obtainable who believes that those have been merely off the cuff feedback he made, come on!!! This fabric become written for him. there have been countless warnings earlier each component of the instruct all started, so as that they have not absolutely everyone responsible yet themselves for looking at. some persons are in basic terms happy while they're complaining.

If your city is like mine, you can't fire any type of firearm in the city. Not even paintball guns. So, you could be in some serious trouble.

If you are in your yard, I dont think you can get into trouble if there is no law about shooting those things. Have your parents speak to this idiot, since they prolly bought you the gun and are OK with you shooting it in THEIR yard, they will stick up for you.
