My aunt disappeared in 1991, we filed a missing persons report, and the case has gone cold. No body was ever recovered, but the man she was traveling with is now in prison for another murder. He claims he never knew my aunt, but we know that he did. We are unsure what state they might have been in when he killed her (Which we're sure is what happened). Where could I start to try to get her case reopened? I know there are a lot of "Jane Does" in the system and I feel like maybe she could be one of them, and investigators are too busy to consider it..

My best friends have always encouraged me to write a book about my life, and now that I've finally formed an idea of what the book will be about, I'm starting to worry that I can't write such a book, if you can be arrested and imprisoned for admitting to having done illegal things in your youth, such as shoplifting, vandalism, and drugs. It's not meant to be taken as anything more than reminiscing about the past, it's not like we do those things anymore. And it's not like we're wanted offenders or anything. We've gotten away with the stuff we've done when we were younger. But can we be arrested for it now that we're in our 30's and want to share amusing tales about the crazy life we once lived?

A deer jumped out in front of a moving vehicle. Driver swirves (on his own lane) into a ditch causing vehicle (Van) to tip over and roll into opposite side of road in a wooded area. Nobody hurt, driver was not speeding, nor under the influence, or been in any other accidents. Driver calls police. Who later send him a ticket in the mail for having "disregarded lane". Officer stated in report there were 90 ft tire marks on road when the vehicle at no time had all four tires on the ground thats why driver could not brake..Problem this driver doesn't speak fluent English. Driver disputes ticket in court and the judge questions how long driver has lived in the county and if he can read English and finds him guilty. without giving reason. This ticket wasn't worth points to license. If driver was at fault he wouldnt have even called for police. Aren't they supposed to help? Do you think judge was racist in decision?

Can someone please tell me what Prison is really like??
From people who have been there or people who have family that have gone there. What goes on from the time you wake up until the time you go to bed?
Is it best when your family sends you money? If so how much will last you 30 days? What all can prisoners do with money they receive?
Do they really get beat up like on the movies? Or only if they pick fights?
Please serious answers only, I just found out that a family member of mine is in prison.

Just for discussion pruposes, not an actutal case.
How would an investigator distinguish: Vehicle strikes telephone pole at rate of 80mph. No suicide note. Deceased had blood alcohol level of .12, it was early in the morning (12am).No skidmarks. What could be some factors in ruling this a suicide....? Is it not just as likely that the person fell asleep. Note: At 80mph, vehicle is traveling at 120ft./second; at this rate, is it possible to "aim" at a telephone in the dark?

My father is friends with many members of our city's police force (I live in southeast MI). Oftentimes he will come home and ask me "Do you know a kid at school by this name? Oh, because they just got picked up by the police for such and such..." Isn't it illegal for them to tell him specific names, dates, and criminal charges? My boyfriend recently got into some legal trouble, and if the involved officers tell my father, as long as the law is on my side, I fully intend to take the officers to court. Are there privacy laws on my side? Police code? Please help.

Went to jail before on this. he is labeled a habitual offender. he had been driving as he owns his own business but he got caught. i am bonding him out in a little while...if i keep him in there overnight...what are the chances he will get out of jail tomorrow? he has shown up to all his court dates in the past just not paid the fee afterwards that they gave him as he paid the bills instead.
