Ha ha. I guess our signs should be clearer, huh. But:
"No passing of other cars once your car passes this sign up until the point where there is another sign or the solid yellow line ends" might be just a little too much for a roadsign to carry.

But, by the way, for those of you who don't remember your roadsign trivia, a roadsign that's black on white is a proscriptive road sign. It tells you things that are illegal to do (I.e. Speed Limit, Do Not Pass, etc.) Yellow and Black may also be prescriptive (i.e. "No Passing Zone") but more often are just cautionary (Deer Crossing, Stoplight ahead, etc.)

I know you are probably kidding....but just in case your not:

No, you are not breaking a law if you drive past those road signs.

But you ARE if you pass somebody in front of you after seeing that sign.

These signs are usually yellow. Wait until it turns red and then back to green. Once its back to green its okay to go. If it doesn't have a white border it is optional in the state of Louisiana.

Do you do stand-up? That was funny. The signs are short hand. The full meaning of the signs are in the drivers hand book for your state.
