Battery, Assault and Battery, Aggravated Battery? There's a lot of descriptions for that.

Not sure what you're asking. Beating someone up is assault. It can be a misdemeanor or felony, depending on the severity of the beating, whether or not there were serious injuries, etc.

The person doing the beating goes to jail/prison upon being convicted.

Spousal Abuse, Child Abuse, Elder Abuse, Assault/Battery, ... and so many more charges can be leveled here ... depending on the person's involved and the circumstances where the crime was committed.

Simple Assault-no weapons. Assault 2nd if weapon was involved. And Assault 1st . Domestic Assault if it was your mother , father , brother, sister, wife, girlfriend.

Normally battery, or assault, and it also depends on if it is aggravated or not.

domestic violence if your in a relationship or assault and battery if you attempted to harm or actually physically harmed someone...they both are misdemeanors...

You can call them arrested or if they have been convicted, then just convicted.
