They'll ask you! Normally at University where you are studying a 'useful' foreign language or PPE (Politics, Philosophy, Economics). You will also need to be a UK national (3 generations), have no convictions (criminal not political), be able to pass a 'simple' assessment test and be able to KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT! It's not easy but it might just be fun! Forget '007', 'Spooks' comes closer!

I think '5' are the catchers and '6' are the spies. 6 occasionally have job postings. You need to have some experience that's useful to them some sort of high level IT 'security' understanding say, or an exemplary career in the forces. You need to be prepared to be severly underpaid. You need to stop asking publically about it. Whatever you do if you are lucky enough to get an interview, don't call the receptionist 'miss moneypenny' and don't tell anyone they are a 'shite for shaw eyes'

MI6 advertise regularly in newspapers check their website for vacancies if you can't find one in the papers- not very spy like!You don't need anything special - not even a degree as they send you on training for several weeks. My other half applied and the application form was massive - they check out all your family etc before you even get an offer to be interviewed

Basic characteristic includes resourcefulness, quickness of thinking, physically fit, and intelligent.No one just goes into one of these elite covert organizations just like that., they are usually recruited from other spy organizations. Why don't you try the CIA first, and get some experience, before you aim for the sky.

the only requirement now is that you have to hate muslims.
if you can show and prove that you don't like muslims then you are ok to join. aslo if you are white it helps further.
