Obstruction of a Police Officer is preventing the officer from doing their job and getting the perpetrator. You stopped them from following up on a case or preventing them from solving a case. Yes, it is correct that they can arrest you. Really depends on the circumstances whether an officer will enforce it or not. If you lied to an officer that is just as bad as lying in court. You can not lie, touch, or do anything that prevents him from solving a crime or potential crime. My suggestion, dont do it again. Each time you get in trouble with the law you get a rap sheet (list of criminal conduct) and it can get you in pretty deep over time. It is always looked at.

In FL, obstruction of justice refers to lying to a police officer or resisting an officer with or without violence. Did your friend run from the police or make false statements about his or her identity? Normally, when we make arrests for obstruction, there are other charges associated with it IE: driving while license suspended, etc.

When you get in the way of and officer doing his job. Could be lying when asked a question, or even physically blocking the officer from doing something.

It means she got the cop mad, maybe just from expressing her own mind or refusing to do what the cop said, and he had nothing else to charge her with.
It is one of those "rubber band" arrests where the reason can be stretched beyond belief
