Do they go on their personnel records, regardless of the breaks they get from internal affairs? They can still be promoted even with grievances, so why is it that you threaten to file one and they freak out, even knowing nohting will happen? Hum...

If someone smokes a lot of pot around their child, is that considerd child abuse. Can you get in trouble for that? Should it be reported? What would happen if it was? would the child be drug tested?

Do the police pay out of pocket for gas & get it back from the department?

Ive had been bringing a pocket knife to school for about 2 years and no one has said anything. i never planed on hurting anyone. its just nice to have around. Its very useful. i use it to shave reeds (clarinet, sax) and ive never gotten in trouble in school before. when i was getting a bag of chips at the vending machine one of the security officers asked me what was in my pocket and i told him it was nothing. and he made a big deal about it. and i said its a pen (it really does look like one of those fat pens) and he was like let me see it. and i stated that he had no reasonable cause to ask for it and get it...and long story short i got suspended. like i said, im a good kid when it comes to this sort of thing.

was this a legal search and seizure?

I am unable to locate ANY information from anyplace in CA. I experienced some trauma many years ago and need to find out if a family member "set up" his arrest to get me back home with my parents or if it was real. If you have suggestions, please help. Also- if I have to pay for information, I will be out of luck. Thanks for reading.

I know that 85000 dead out of 300 million is 0.03% and the soldiers are at 1.5%. But 85000 is 85000, know what I mean (funeral parlours must be making a fortune). At least the soldiers have an excuse, they were sent to war.
The rest of the US just live in a war zone it seems.
By the way, the british murder percentage (at home) is a mere 0.005% of the pop. over the same period.

Police applicants should be required to attend ethics and humanity courses. They should not lie and violate the constitution under any circumstances.

When police lie and violate the constitution they become the worst of criminals.

When police violate the U.S. Constitution they should be sentenced to lengthy prison terms.

That would weed out the bad lying police, keep them honest.

Police need to respect citizens. The police work for us. They are supposed to be our servants, not our punishers.
