His IL DL is suspended.
If he has any DL in any state or sev DL from sev states, they are all suspended for the same time. It may take a few weeks to get to IL from OK (the paper work) it is still suspended. If he gets caught, he will be charged with driving on suspended DL. Some states arrest on this charge.

I believe oklahoma and Illinois are compact states. So yes his license will be suspended. Some states do not honor other states driving records. He needs to go to the license bureau and verify. If he is suspended he can ask the court for a hardship, so he can atleast drive to and from school or work.

Yes he's suspended. Plus he was smart for taking the six months. Regardless of what some of these as**s might say. Blowing a .09 as tolerant as I am towards alcohol would put me away in my state, and yet I can still function better after a pint of liquor than say a Kennedy after three glasses of wine, but who goes to jail. So where is the justice

With the computer age, you can't get away with anything anymore. The department of Driver Licenses will ask for all the pertinent information like a Birth Certificate if he wants to reapply, right there he is done. He has to do his time and please tell him not to drive when I'm on the road.

My son lives in Louisiana when he went to get a drivers license they checked some kind of a data base and found out his license had been suspended in Texas. Louisiana refused to give him one till he took care of the problems in Texas.

In short..yes. Most states DMV's communicate with each other, but not all. Have your brother check with the Illinois DMV. He can ask anonymously this same question.

Once your license are suspended, they are suspended in all states. If you get pulled over in another state they run your license number in the state it's issued and it will show up suspended.

If it doesn't, there is something definitely wrong with the system. And if he was driving drunk, he deserves jail time, not just a suspension.
