I was just thinking about this. I was wondering if a criminal decides to rob a store with a weapon that is unloaded; relying on the fear of the clerk cooperating with a gun pointed at their face. Would that still be considered armed robbery if the weapon is not loaded?

In other words, let's say you bring your clothes to the dry cleaners, and did not have time or that you forgot to pick up your clothes from the dry cleaners. It has been a month, and the dry cleaners decides to sell it. Is this illegal? Can they do such a thing? Any sort of help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I was backing out of my driveway and i accidently hit a car that was parked directly across the street. It was parked directly across the street from my driveway. If that is illegal then where can I find proof this law exists. I must bring them proof that where they were parked was illegal.

About a week ago me and my friends went to a bar and one of my friends had a little too much to drink and went to play the jukebox and kept on putting quarters in the jukebox and it didn't work so he punched it (not thinking it was going to damage it) however the glass broke! The bouncer then took his wallet and information and told him the damage is $2,000 and he said okay ill pay for it....

THEN THE BOUNCER WENT OUTSIDE AND HARRASSED HIM AND TRIED TO FIGHT HIM.... after he agreed to pay..

SO here is the question..
As a friend I don't think he did 2,000 damage because thats how much the jukebox is worth brand new.... he did nothing but damage the glass.. he got harrassed and got in a fight because the bouncer... even us girls jumped in and got the bouncer off who also tried to fight us...

soo basically today he is suppose to go to the bar and pay 2,000 and Im saying NO WAY!! I think he should get a lawyer and he can also press charges against the bouncer.. What would you do

Just wondering where I stand with this one. I have a neighbor who repeatedly files noise complaints which the police find to be unfounded. She talks badly of me to our neighbors. She talks badly of me to people who come to my home to visit me. I gave her written notice that if she continues to discuss me with our neighbors or if she continues to talk to my visitors I will request a civil restraining order against her for harrassment. She is now threatening to file suit against me for harrassment due to noise, to file civil action because I have revoked her constitutionally protected right of free speech with my letter and that I have threatened her with my letter.
Does she have the right to talk about me or to talk to my visitors who have no desire to listen to her?
Is telling her to stop talking to these people or I will request a restraing order considered threatening?
Just not sure what to expect next.
Our apartment manager has sided with me if that matters.

Basically I have a loan with them. I asked for the due date of the loan to be changed to a later date. The branch manager told me that she will do it for me within the next couple days. Well, she never did it and she went on vacation for 2 weeks. I tried to call other members of the branch, but they kept giving broken promisses. The manager came back from vacation, I tried to contact her, but it seems everytime I call, someone would tell me she is at lunch or out of the office. 3 more weeks later, I called the cust. svc. center and complained, then she finally e-mailed me back saying that she had changed my due date for the loan. BUT SHE LIED! It was not changed! I called a different branch and a cust. svc. rep told me to write a letter requesting the change of the due date and he would help me. I wrote a letter, and 3 weeks have passed and he too has given me the run around. It has been nearly 4 months and still no one has helped! Can i sue/do something meaningful to them?

There was recently a judge threw the entire courtroom in jail because no one would fess up to who's phone it was that was ringing. He said that if the person did not fess up, everyone in the entire courtroom was going to jail. So what he do? He had them all handcuffed and sent to prison and now they all have that on their records that they have been to jail. The judge was fired. lol! Do u think this has anything to do with Judge Judy and the fact that she's rich as all get out. It said that she has this reputation for being a tough judge that earned her reputation. Do u think this judge was just trying to get a reputation so he could get his own show? Whatever he was trying to do, it didn't work, because apparently he's out of a job. I think he forgot the 'fair' part if in fact he was trying to do this HAHA! he forgot that judge judy was 'tough' but 'fair', meaning sane. Haha! but what do u think about all this?

For example, if justice always requires a price then even though mercy be extended someone still has to pay the price even if it's not the one who committed the original crime. Therefore, in loose terms, what makes mercy any different than justice if it must always meet justice on justice's terms. I'm talking of Justice in terms of Universal Law. For example, for every action there is an opposing reaction. When we take a step, we push against force that pushes against us. In some simplistic way, isn't this justice. Must our force always be met with opposing force?

In November 2006, the Vino Wine Company placed the following advertisement in the Sunday Clarion and the Sunday Post newspapers:

'Special Offer - 6 'Vino' wine glasses - absolutely free - simply buy three bottles from our Matador Rose range of wines, send the corks, together with proof of purchase, to the address below and we will send you six 'Vino' wines glasses absolutely free. Offer closes 31 December 2006.'

Peter saw the advertisement in the Sunday Clarion and, although he usually drinks a cheaper brand of wine, decided to purchase three bottles of Matador Rose in order to send for the glasses. On 1 December he purchased the three bottles, but decided to keep them to drink at Christmas.

By 15 December, Vino Wine Company had been inundated with replies to the advertisement and decided to withdraw the offer. They placed the following advertisement in the Sunday Post newspaper:

'Due to greater than anticipated demand, Vino Wine Company regret they must withdraw their offer of free 'Vino' wine glasses with immediate effect.'

Peter did not see the second advertisement. On 29 December he had only drunk two of the three bottles and so decided to drink the third bottle by himself. The following day he was suffering from a hangover and so did not post the corks and receipt until 31 December. Due to a backlog of mail, the letter did not reach the wine company until 2 January 2007.

Jane is a regular drinker of Matador Wine. On 20 December, while waiting in the doctor's surgery, she was glancing at an old copy of the Sunday Post newspaper when she saw the offer of free 'Vino' wine glasses. When she returned home she collected the corks from the three bottles she had drunk the previous week, found the receipts for the bottles in her purse and posted them to the Vino Wine Company on 21 December. The Company received the letter the following day.

Advise Peter and Jane, neither of whom has received their 'Vino' wine glasses.
