I was parked in my apt complex's pakring area, where there is no sign regarding being towed at your own expense or who would tow you if it happened. I came home to find my vehicle gone. I called the apt and they said they didn't tow. I called the city and after they said they didn't, I reported my vehicle stolen. I called back my apt the next morning and they again declined towing me, but said they saw who did. When I picked up my car, they said the apt called. I called them again and they said one of their maintenance staff did call in the tow. I was parked ina no parking zone, but I think they should have had some sort of tow notice. This happened on my wedding anniversary and I was on the phone with insurance and at my house with the ploce for hours. Can I sue them for the tow at all?

Here's my deal. I got a ticket for driving while suspended and had no clue it was supended because they were sent to my old adress. On top of that, I was in a non moving car at the time sitting behind a store in the driver's seat. I had no clue that I was suspended once again. On top of this, they sent the ticket to my old adress and I just found out that I missed the court date and have a warrant. I am in Maryland. I have a very good lawyer, but where I live they go exactly by the book and it goes, 1st offense: PBJ, 2nd offense: 30 days jail, 3rd: 60 days ect. This is my third. I am trying to get into the Army as well but now have to wait until this court date is done. Two questions...can I get out of this? And will it effect my getting into the army? Thanks people.

How many times must one commit suicide before one gets prosecuted for that crime? Or is it possible that the lawmakers left out the word "attempt" when penning the law?

Why is it when people ask legal questions on this site and your answer doesn't agree with them when they think they have a case and should sue, or if they think their employer is treating them wrong, but your answer doesn't agree with them, or they think the legal system has done them wrong, but you don't agree------why is it they give you a thumbs down and would rather accept an answer that is total wrong (but agrees with them) and give that person the 10 points? Why waste their time asking the question if they are only going to take advice from people that agree with them?

so, my boyfriend has a two year old w. his ex. His ex isnt exactally the best mother ever, she has come to pick up her daughter from my boyfriends many times while high, he of course never lets his child leave with her while shes like that. She has MANY times purchased drugs with her child in the back seat, and would rather be out partying then taking care of her child, he wants to get full custody of his daughter. Do you think with all that is going on with the mom it will be an easy task or what...? I love his daughter to death, and I dont think she needs to grow up in a situation like that.

If you are driving in a parking lot, and a friend who was riding/holding onto the back of your car (trunk area) falls off and gets injured.

Also, does it change anything if he said stop right before he fell?

For 2 years they called harassing me and my mom trying to collect the 7,000$. They didnt want to come to an arrangement. Today a person called saying that she was an attorney that if we had a lawyer for the case of the 7,000 dollars that now turned into 11,000 $. Can they really sue us?

Hi, I am writing a hard copy book. It's a book about ebay. Its not a book to slander ebay. It's a book to help people use ebay.

I have a few questions.

Can I put "EBAY" in the title or description of my book, without getting in trouble or sued? If so, how can I go about doing it?

I see others all around the internet using ebay in their ebook title or what not..They put things like-- Make money with Ebay(R)

What does this (R) do? Do I have to ask ebay for one, or can I jusy put the (R) in the title? Do I even need the (R)?

I just dont want to name something that I might get in trouble for, or get sued over.

Any knowledge on this would be much appreciated.

Thank you

My lecturer has given us a question to think about, but I just don't understand it.

This is the question as posted in her email:

'so, when revising defamation this week, make a particular notes in your law notes about the internet service providers (ISPs) who may inadvertently have someone post a defamatory message in an online forum. What is the position here? It's actually covered in the DA 1996'

Can someone make sense of the above and guide me towards an answer?

Thanks!

I was rear ended by a minor. I had back pain for a few months. Since I had mono at the time the ER gave me a CAT Scan to make sure my spleen was ok. My medical bills are running about $6500. They paid those, but claim they should not have to pay for the CAT scan. They paid $1800 to fix my car. They are offering $1,900 for pain and suffering. I have spoken with lawyers, they say I should sue; but say they will not make enough money to be worth it. Small claims court will hit the cap if I go there. Am I being greedy? Should I go to court and represent myself? Any other suggestions? I have talked the company up as much as they are willing to go and am getting nowhere. Any suggestions or just settle?
