My husband owes back taxes that occured prior to our marriage. Can the IRS recover these from me now that I'm married (i.e. seize my home, withhold from my pay etc.). Also, if we divorce, would I be accountable for any of this debt?

I am going to court on next Thursday for a child support hearing. My daughter will be a year old in 3 weeks but her real father hasn't helped out with anything. She's seen him 3 times in her life. the last time I saw him he threatened me. He told me not to file child support or he would do something but I can't remember what he said he would do. He is living a dangerous life (guns, dealing drugs, etc.). I am scared that he might show up with a gun or bring a friend to wait outside with a gun and have me killed. I am also scared that my daughter is going to get taken from me. I am a single Mom and I only get paid $40 a week and have food stamps. Any other women with related issues that can give me some advice?

I've looked everywhere for these damn laws, can't find em.. How much land do you need to have to own a horse in St. Joseph County, Indiana? I've heard from some people it's 20 acres unless it was ment for horses, then it's 5... And I've heard from others it's just 5. Could I have some input on this?

Okay, so I asked what to do about my drug addict roommate last time. We're taking your advice, and we're moving out at the end of the month. He said if our animals (three baby kittens and a mama cat) weren't out of the apartment by today, he'd call animal control. Does he even have a case? All the cats are well cared for, they have food, a clean litter box, and our room is very clean. Also, they don't even go into the rest of the apartment...? HELP PLEASE! I'd call animal control myself, but I was advised not to by a coworker. Thanks for all the help!

am in need of advise?
I rented a car for a week while i was on vacation, i declined all of the optional insurance ect as i am insured. The cost was 280 for the time we were on vacation. We returned our car last wednesday, at the time we pulled up and a guy walked around the car to inspect it looked inside real quick, check it the gas was full and printed out a recipt and told us here is your final charge have a great day. Today checking online i noticed they charged my 976.93. I called them right away, i took for every to contact some one, but finaly i got ahold of someone and he told me they found a chip in the cars windsheld and they had to replace the windsheld. He told me that i declined other charges therefore i have to pay the damages. What can i do, i did not notice a chip but those things can be unnoticed. I asked him how do you know that someone did that after i droped it off. I have the recipt showing the final charges 288.30

Does your life belong to you or to society? Is it fair for me to say that my life is my very own, and no one else should have influence over how I live it?
I ask this because of all the laws in place that affact what we do with our lives. For example, it is ileagal to operate a motor vehicle without a seatbelt. In some states, operation of a motorcycle without a helmet is ileagal. And too often I see people suffering in the hospital kept alive merely to suffer that much longer, because it is not right to help them to painlessly end their lives (Dr. Kovorkian proved that helping these people would get you in a lot of trouble.)

If my life where truly my own, then why am I ticketed for not wearing a seatbelt when it would cause no harm to anyone other then myself? Why would someone be ticketed for no helmet on a motorcycle? And for godsakes, why should our sick and suffering be made to continue to suffer for the betterment of doctors bank accounts and to ease mental anguish of family?

Does this really happen, so if it does then unpaid credit cards stay on your crdit report forever, right? So lets say creditor #1 cannot collect money from you on your chase credit card, your last missed payment was on 01/01/2007, so they sell your account to collecter #2 on 11/01/2007. So on 01/01/2015 your unpaid balance for the chase credit card on collecter #1 earses, but chase credit card is still there, right?, because collecter #2 still has it then they sell it to collecter#3, So it NEVER comes off right??? This is what I was told. I'm sooooo confused HELP!!

My wife was heartbroken when we received a letter demanding we remove a Virgin Mary statue from our yard. It was only about two to three feet tall. This seems unconstitutional to me. Any free legal advice or references to legal help in this matter is appreciated.

I work in a call center with 2,000+ people answering phones where it is not uncommon for lots of turnover..

My co-worker gets the forms as they are terminated and has specially brought in a bell from home to ring when they are fired..

I don't know what to think of this & why would my co-worker do something like this?

He takes great pride in ringing the bell & sometimes the bell is rung daily upwards of 10 times.

He's SO proud that he mentioned in a meeting with upper management, and now they want him to keep very detailed records of all the firings!!!

How unfair is it that this psychotic behavior gets him in good with the bosses?

I've always been taught that to be considered a "Right", an activity or behavior must meet the following two conditions:
1_It must be equally available to all persons.
2_It must impose no positive obligation on another person.
Does anyone know who set down this definition?

My last empolyement we had a falling out rewarding a commission owed and resulting in me leaving. One job i applied for, the manager and I were getting along great and I thought i had it in the bag, he said he made some calls and he would get back to me...and never did. Supposedly it is a law here in Arizona that you are not allowed to remove a saguaro cactus from your own property! so what do you do when that saguaro damages your property + more? Who pays for the damages and can we fight this stupid law? We called the police but they just said to take lots of pictures and call insurance.
The Giant cactus is still laying on my family’s front yard. We can’t afford to have it removed. Shouldn’t the City remove it?
Here a few pictures that we took of the fallen Saguaro if you want to see them

Some one told me that if you commit a crime in one state and then flee to Wisconsin, nothing will happen to you. You can murder someone in Florida and then move to Wisconsin, and they cannot extradite you back to Florida... Is this true? And what the heck does sovereign state mean anyway? There is nothing on the net about WI being sovereign. Does that term even apply to the USA?
