Okay, so I asked what to do about my drug addict roommate last time. We're taking your advice, and we're moving out at the end of the month. He said if our animals (three baby kittens and a mama cat) weren't out of the apartment by today, he'd call animal control. Does he even have a case? All the cats are well cared for, they have food, a clean litter box, and our room is very clean. Also, they don't even go into the rest of the apartment...? HELP PLEASE! I'd call animal control myself, but I was advised not to by a coworker. Thanks for all the help!

The rent is fully paid. He didn't bother to put us on the lease though, even though we gave him all our information. Yesterday he blocked my computer for the internet, and the router is in our room. So I said that because I paid him rent, that the room was mine. He said that I didn't pay rent there because I'm not on the lease...is that even right? (Come to find out, he's not on the lease either...it's his dad's). So pretty much I added that because even though my boyfriend and I have been paying rent, there's no proof or anything...I feel so dumb for getting myself into this situation, so thanks for helping me out!

Also, my coworker said that I had better watch him and make sure that he doesn't dump them off somewhere. They're too small to survive outside, can he get arrested for that as well?

Call them and ask them this same question.
Even if it were an issue you would be able to resolve it before anything happens.

Animal Control is a kind of RSPCA (animal protection unit) so if your noot harming/ abandoning them theres no problem. He won't report you cause he's a druggie - he wont want any authorities even animal protectionin his house. Also you've got something on him havn't you - Druggie. However, do NOT resort to actual blackmail. Its illegal and you will get charged even if the police also charge him. After reading your additional detail I have one word -

B*****d

Let him call. There is nothing they can do if the animals are not being abused. Even if animals are not allowed in your apartment, it is not their job to remove them. Doubtful they will even come out, but if they do, file for a false report.

Well, if he's a drug addict, tell him if he calls Animal Control, you will call the police and turn him in. He must have drug paraphenalia and actual drugs around.

Are you paid-up for rent there right now? If so, then he has no right so long as you have not abandoned the cats. Call DEA and tell them he's dealing drugs.

Tell him if he doesn't shut his mouth and leave you alone until after you move, you will go to the Police. That usually shuts up someone with as much to hide as you claim he has

He won't do that because it would involve the cops. If he's an addict he wouldn't want that.
