so, my boyfriend has a two year old w. his ex. His ex isnt exactally the best mother ever, she has come to pick up her daughter from my boyfriends many times while high, he of course never lets his child leave with her while shes like that. She has MANY times purchased drugs with her child in the back seat, and would rather be out partying then taking care of her child, he wants to get full custody of his daughter. Do you think with all that is going on with the mom it will be an easy task or what...? I love his daughter to death, and I dont think she needs to grow up in a situation like that.

he knows people who have sold her drugs w. the daughter in the back seat of the car, and they told him they would testify to that in court. so i HOPE that helps alot too. One problem is he cant really afford a lawyer, or atleast not a really good one, do you think he would have any chance getting custody if he represented himself?

Here's an idea: have the girl's urine and/or hair tested. If it comes back positive, hire an attorney to file permanent neglect charges against the mother, but be prepared for her to charge back and claim that (whichever drug you find) is your boyfriend's vice, not hers.

Good luck.

You should get a lawyer to file an exparte order granting your boyfriend full custody temporarily until the court date. He should ask for full custody with no visitation for the mother. He will have to state what has been happening as far as the drug buying etc. Also ask the court to order a drug test for the mother. See if your county has a legal aid services or contact our county bar association they may be able to help you get a pro bono lawyer. Good Luck

It's all in the burden of proof. A court needs to decide who to believe so get all the proof you can if you wish to go to court.

If kevin Federline can do it, your BF can do it. All it takes is for him to retain and pay a lawyer -- like Federline did.
