Ok I just saw the headline on yahoo about the cross being on government property. Do you guys think that people abuse the constitution a equal rights? I mean if crosses were put in a public place for 70 years its almost a tradition and not so much a religious statement. The U S Constitution was based on morals which were supposed to keep us free, not argue about who has more landmarks in public places. Am I the only one who thinks this way or can you guys back me up on this? ( I know I didnt really make sense but I hope you get my point)

ive just moved to the south from new york city. i started high school a few weeks ago. the first difference i noticed about my rural high school was the amount of racism and homophobia and just plain descrimination. students throw around "******* queer" and "f a g g o t". the few black kids get made fun of constantly. the mexican students have it the worst. even some of the teachers are in on it. my spanish teacher is constantly preaching about jesus and christianity and nonbelievers going to hell, and how the mexicans and jews are taking over. coming from a school whose most active club was the gay-straight alliance, i cant even imagine how hard it would be for a gay student to come out in this environment. i can't stand it. i suppose there's not MUCH i can do. i dont know how to deal with the situation without being a hippocrate. is it okay to be intolerant of intolerance?

Homework Case:
White Doctor works at the same hospital as a black nurse. The nurse gets crush on the doctor (doc married with kids)starts leaving him provocative messages, sends flowers, ect. He has no reason why this nurse is doing it. He goes to his supervisor and tells him the situation. supervisor brings in the female and says:
" The doctor is very uncomfortable with the personal attention you are showing to him, and then asked her to please not continue to exhibit her show of affection for the doctor".
The supervisor was then shocked to hear there was a lawsuit against him and doc for racial discrimination. She lied to attorney and said the supervisor said, "its not right in this hospital for people of different races to be romantic. (lie)
1. do you think the supervisor handled the situation well with the female conversation?
2. Do you think the female has a basis for a sexual harrasment claim? why
3. what would you do now to avoid this situation again (supervisor)?

I am thinking that if we offered women / girls (between the ages of 13-40) $20,000 tax-free in cash to undergo an operation to become sterilized that it would save money in the long-run because over the life of a person born out of wedlock the gov't would end up paying well over $20,000 during his / her lifetime. Also such a person is likely to produce welfare-dependent kids who will continue to drain the gov't budget. Additionally, people who continue this dependency are likely to have some genetic problems, and sterilization would certainly increase the quality of the US gene pool. What do you think?

I took out a loan with a finance company, part of the terms of the loan was to submit a check as collateral. Well I made 3 payments, refinanced the loan and then I fell behind on payments. Shortly after that, my checking account went into overdraft status for 2 months and subsequently, the checking account was closed. Well today I get this letter regarding warrant for arrest, so I assumed that the finance company submitted the check for payment and it was returned as "closed account". How do I rectify this situation as quickly and painlessly as possible. I do not have the funds to pay the loan right off, nor any additional fees, Nor do I have enough to post bond. Will the court work with me. In total I owe $250. The amount of the original loan. Help..

I am paying towards a reception hall and they are calling me and bugging me to pay them in full, but the contract states clearly that the balance must be payed 30 days before the event. She states she needs the money to put towards another event that is coming up. Now my contract is was showing that my wedding is in July 2008 but it is really on June 2008, so she marked it out with a red pen but i never initialed it. Does that make the contract void?I don't want to deal with this woman anymore because she just seems so crooked and what if she doesn't have the money when my wedding comes up! is there any way i can get what i have invested back and cancel the event with her, i am just so confused. Should I trust her. please help!!!

My friend and I got into an argument with her roommates, a man and women. The man starts yelling at me, kicks me out, but I won't leave because he's verbally abusing my friend. He then starts telling me "**** you," and "go **** yourself"
Can the California laws protect me? Any suggestions for legal matters?
Thank you

I am married to a man who goes to court on Sept 10 for a child molestitation case against his sister. We are already married with 5 children this happened suppousdely happened 7 years ago. If convicted, can he come home and live with us as a family unit? There is no physical evidence against my husband and it is her word against his. All she is saying he did was touch her. No sexual intercourse, no penetration of any kind.... just fondling. He is a stay at home daddy for 4 years now and if I ever thought that he was a sex offender I would not allow him around the children. Only one of them are biologically his. Please dont judge me and please give me advice. He has been offered a plea bargin of 4 years suspended 10 years probation and register as a sex offender and never be able to come home to his family. Please give me some helpful input on what to think and do. If this was true, why would his sister come to our wedding and have pics taken with her brother? Please help me.

Some of you may have seen in the news about the woman who left her 2 year old child in the car for 8 hours and the girl died. And how the woman was not charged with murder because the prosecutor decided that it was an accident, however the woman went to the car several times and could have seen the girl, and it was not the first time that both parents left the little girl in the car. What I want to know is, is negligence not a crime? How can you forget that your child is in the car? How can someone forget the child in the car more than once? Isn't negligence defined as neglecting a person/child to the point where it brings harm to said person/child? As I understand it is a crime, am I wrong?
