Would you keep it, or report it? The reason I ask is because if you report it, they will likely go to foster care... not good...

one night there was a car that hit a power line pole and then went down into a ditch and hit a tree, my sister and some of her friends ran who saw the accident ran out of their car to go help, when my sister got close to the car, the sight of it made her pass out, so 3 of her friends picked her up and to get her back to the car, while they were carrying her, one of the guys slipped and his head hit the power line that was hanging, and all 4 of them got electrocuted, my sister and one of the guys died, the others were severly injured, they didn't get a chance to help the other two victims who were in the car crash. Now there is a guy who says he used to work for the city, and he mentioned that when a power line is hit or somehow interfered, a sensor of some sort is supposed to stop the electric current, so he said none of them should have gotten electrocuted, and he mentioned that my mother has a case against the city, does she have a case?

To cut down on inter-agency rivalries the DEA and ATF should be collapsed into the FBI. The FBI’s job used to be done by the US Marshals. So they can just do back to doing it. Everyone should trade in their badges for marshals stars.

It seems to me humans are just animals with laws. It should be a human right to protect myself and my family with any means necessary regardless of state law. I can't carry a concealed weapon in liberal pussy Rhode Island without being a business owner.

My father won custody over my brother about 10 years ago. He is now 16 years old. My mother recently filed a restraining order against my father, as well as a restraining order for my brother against my father. Noone has any problems with my dad except my mother, my brother doesnt want the restaining order. So my question would be, how long does custody last, can she file a restraining order for my brother if she doesnt have custody of him, and what can be done to become a legal guardian of him? Thanks!

I'm applying for a Security Job and I need your help.

At the building where you are performing security duties, a party is being held and alcohol is being served. While on your assigned parking lot patrol, you notice a man who appears to be intoxicated stumbling to his car. Which would be the best course of action?

A. Confront him and confiscate his keys explaining that he is in no condition to drive safely.
(Wouldn't that be too rude and out of my jurisdiction? However, Security Officers are to ensure safety)

B. In order to provide the best customer service, offer to drive the man home if he pays for gas.
(I would not be allowed to leave my location on the premises)

C. Ignore him because once he drives off the premises it’s not your problem and you are not liable.
(That's just wrong)

D. Write down his license plate number and car description and notify the police that there might be a drunk driver leaving the premises.
(Put in the Police's hands--Putting his life in danger)

I am writing a paper for school on the "Do not call list". I have looked everywhere and am having a hard time finding my answer. Say I own a furniture business and just opened my doors. Can I call people to let them know about my business to let them know we just opened up in your town and we are giving away free pillows this weekend. I know it doesn’t fall under the “Black and White” exemptions where it is layout clearly. But some items I read on the government website state, the do not call list prevents people calling to try and sell you a good or service and some say no commercial calls. So under the selling an item, I would see I would be ok to call since, technically I am not selling an item, I just making name recognition by a free item. On the second item where it says no commercial calls, it would seem I couldn’t call.

Just wanted to see if anyone has a straight answer because I am lost.

Thanks in advance.

We were rear ended by a drunk driver. I was driving, we stopped at a stop light and this 1970 Ford pickup (that had almost clipped us coming out of the parking about 1/4 a mile before the light). He screached out of the parking lot and didn't even seem to slow down and slammed into the back of us. He had to be going pretty fast to do the damage that he did to our car and especially his tuck (those old trucks are like tanks!). The passenger owned the truck and the driver was supposively his designated driver, even tho he had been drinking too. Well the driver hopped out of the car and took off on foot!(he had warrants) The passenger (owner of the the truck) stayed there and didn't even get arrested!

I'm not sure if we should get a lawyer... we haven't been offered a settlement yet, but what would you suggest? My arm is still hurting and Chris' back is hurting too. We're going to a chiropractor this week... I've just never had this happen and need to know what we should do.

Does it seem to you that people today are scared to death to help anyone out because of the fear of being sued? I've heard of doctors losing their licenses because they stopped to help someone and then were sued. People could lose their homes.

I also heard where a judge tossed out a case and reprimanded the person suing because it was a nonsense case. The judge asked the person why he was suing the person that saved his life?

I know lawsuits have their place but come on people, you don't have to sue over everything. No wonder insurance costs, medical costs, auto and homeowners insurance are so high.

I live in Virginia. My friend is 21 years and and swears up and down that it is legal for her to drive by herself with only a driver's permit (no liscense). This just doesnt make sense to me. I looked on the DMV website and was unable to find the info about her situation. Can anyone help clear this up?
