I had a problem with a tennant who had mental health problems. The tennant was harrassing me and the baby by obstructing my pathway, playing around with inflammable spirit, verbal abuse and there was arson and well as the tennant putting inflammable stuff across my door amongst other things. I have prove from the council that they did not take me seriously in a letter to a parliament consititient. Evenually, the tennant was arrested and is in custody awaiting trial with crown court. The council never returned my calls. Could I sue them?

I have not realy watched Nancy Grace much and dont even remember what station she is on except for stumbeling across the show a couple of times , she seems a bitter woman to me . I was watching The Dailey Show and they ran some clips from her show and she pretty much had the Duke Lacross boys dead to right and realy crucified them . Has she never heard of PRESUMED INOCENT TILL PROVEN GUILTY? Dont get me wrong I think those guys are probably real jerks but I dont know them so I cant say . Does anyone watch her show and has she done this to others dragging them through the mud without a trial yet?

He died leaving his house to his children specified in will. However, he married two years before he died to his common-law wife of 12 years. Now his kids want her out of the house she lived in for 12 years with their dad. Kids are mature and on their own. What rights does she have? So far she is still in the house and even an eviction notice sent to her by his kids's lawyer failed to get her out. She hired her own lawyer and he said as his wife she has rights. That when the smoke clears, the house will be sold and divided between her and the kids.
Ever hear of this anywhere? Does she have rights even though the will states that the house goes to his grown kids?

I understand the "assumption of risk" reasoning behind the danger of being on a golf course, but can you do anything if you get hit while working? I'm the beverage cart girl at my golf course and I was making a drink for someone on the 11th hole today while people were waiting to tee off on the 10th box. Usually, if there are people in close proximity, they wait. These people...not so smart. they hit me in the lower back with a line drive maybe 150 yards away. They yelled fore, but i was facing away from them and there was definately no time to even react. The next person then teed off and their ball came within 2 feet of me! I filed a report with my work, but i'm curious as to the legal action i can take. I have pain from my rib cage all the way down to my pelvis, as well as a huge knot on my spine. Is the only qualification workman's comp? what is the best way to handle this? the department head didn't even want me to file a report, but i did anyway

I had two checks bounce by accident, both worth under $15. I did this on Friday and I am going Monday to deposit money in the bank to cover them. Can I still go to jail? Or no, as long as I replace the money?

My dad thinks it's not healthy for me to be interested in fire arms, even though I've made it clear that I don't like killing things, even game. He won't even let me own an obviously fake cap gun (although I bought one secretley). Ironically, he's in the National Guard. What's the big deal? It's an interest, not an obsession.

Order is valid for me and our two children. I go to court this Wednesday to make it a Restraining Order valid for one year. Can I request it be made a Permanent RO? Anyone know if Washington State offers this? Anyone know how this affects custody issues? I know I need a lawyer but it's Saturday and I'm getting my paperwork, etc in order for Monday. Thanks in advance to anyone who responds.

we have been getting harrassing calls from a credit agency, we have offered payments and they refuse, the say they want a lump sum of $3000 or they will take us to court. this is not the actual credit card company it is a collection agency. i know by law we do not have to pay the collection agency, but is that technically refusing a payment? and can they still take us to court? the credit card company says they have no record of us at all.

I ran into a guy i had a close/intimate relationship with last night at a dance club. Since there is alot of in between details that are hard to tell, the main problem is that by the end of the night after 2 or 3 drinks, i ended up scratching his face out of anger and of course escorted out. Also, out of pure anger i sent a minor "threatening" text. Now the next day, he text me saying he was at the police station filing charges, showing them his scarred face and showing the police the text and they would soon talk to me. Now if this is true, what happens next? Or what steps are taken if someone does file charges against you? He stated he would take this all the way to court. Are you sent a letter first? And if so, is it through the mail, in person, or do they call you? What consequences are there if this ends up being a battery charge? I am a bit nervous if this ends up being true and i would like to know what would follow.

Hi... I need your help.

I always thought an arrest warrant was something issued for commiting a crime... i.e. - you didn't pay your parking/speeding tickets and now you're being arrested for it.

I thought a bench warrant was something issued by the court for missing your court date... i.e. - you didn't pay your tickets, was issued a court date and you failed to appear for it, and now you're being arrested for that.

I was doing research and came upon an website talking about warrants. To me, they made it sound like the same thing.

Is it?

If not, can you explain to me the difference?

Thanks...
T.

A couple and 3 kids driving down the HWY going 65 and the passanger tried multiple times to jump out of the car. The driver than places the passanger in a choke hold. The driver shortly after pulls the car over on the HWY and gets the kids out and starts walking. The children have mentioned sometimes not eating supper and having to wait till morning to eat when with the non costodial parent. Also, the kids don't have seperate beds when they are there. The couple fights around kids all the time. Kids are told not to tell custodial parent otherwise they get yelled at and punished. What can be done? Is this child endangerment and neglect? DHS was contacted and they are going to make a house check but said that it was all minimum things. I don't know what the laws are. Any advice? The custodial parent!
