i dont. laws say that once you reach 17 sex w/ anyone under 17 is stat. rape on your part and anyone over 17 is stat. rape on theirs. also, when you reach 18 anyone under 18 is stat. rape on your part. i am a high school senior and 19 and i know a lot of 16,17 year olds who like and want to go out with me and so the laws suck to me!

Would this be wanton endangerment or what?

I lived with my bf and the other evening I approached him with a problem that turned into an arguement. He had been drinking and after becoming enraged and calling me everything in the book, he proceeded to take a shotgun and shoot several things in the house. (i.e. 2 computers, refrigerator, two cabinets, dishwasher) He ended up shooting about 9 times while I was in the room with him as I was afraid to turn my back on him and go out the door. I was 4 months pregnant at the time.

If charged, how much time would he get?

If a girl got raped, who cares if she was on a date or not -- SHE GOT RAPED period.

If someone was murdered, robbed, beaten, etc, those are already crimes in themselves, so what does it bring to the table to say these crimes were committed out of hate (as opposed to robbing someone out of LOVE!)?

This just all seems so silly, so silly that humans are so wrapped up in empty symbolism in general.

If there is something wrong in the sentencing for murders, you need to reform that, not creating additional BS crimes to make a sentence stick.

If you were a past criminal for a petty crime such as theft , forgery , blah blah blah , you were convicted , but you were only fined and not imposed any jail sentence , when you go for employment , is it truly absolutely necessary that you have to declare you had a criminal record ? If you do not mention about it , the employer will very likely not know about it right ? As it is not indicated in your IDs or certificates that you have one . I also feel that in order to secure a job for your survival and put the past behind you .. many people with criminal records will choose not to reveal them and wait for time to pass until the criminal record is considered spent . The employer will not find out if you have one unless he delibrately calls up some criminal record department in the police to check right ? Is this really the case with previously convicted people now ?

If you don't give the 30 days notice can they sue you, or do you just lose the deposit?

I keep getting these OuterInfo popup ads. And, I can tell by my web searches that many people are bothered by this problem. So, why is OuterInfo still in business? Can't the Department of Consumer Affairs shut them down? Can' t they be sued? They need to pay a hefty price for all the harm they cause. They are a criminal company and need to be prosecuted. And, the people who run it should be sent to prison.

Hi, everyone

I have this question about traffic schools and courts. I have been to traffic school about 8-9 months ago. I just recently receive another one. My question is when I go to court and plead will I be able to plead my case first then plead for traffic school if my case "don't work" after. What should I do so to ask judge to give me a 12hrs class.

thanks

I was in school when a girl hit me in the head with a exercise ball and I fell off the stage, hit my head and ended up with a neck sprain and concussion. The hospital put me off sports/weight training for a week. I could not try out for softball because of my injury. A girl I know has a injury also and her doctor has put off but she made the team, without going thru tryouts. She was on the team last year. I feel that I am being discriminated against, I don't want to sue I just want a chance to be treated equal. I did not ask to get hit in the head but it did happen. Everyone at my school tells me I need to get involved but then kicks me down, I am so confused.
I would love to go out for the softball team next year BUT I am a 10th grader and every year I don't play it drops my chances of making it go down really Bad. and basiclly I am just wanting to get to the bottom of the Truth is really all.
Also if anybody knows where I can get copies of the law that has to deal with this.

If you get a subpoena to appear in court as a witness in a battery case, do you have to go? The person that got arrested pushed me, but I didn't press charges. It's kinda a bs deal and I don't want them to get punished for anything this stupid. Do I have to go?

We have a problem in which an admission of a crime is to be offered against the defendant in the form of a letter. However, the letter is typed and not signed.

It would be admissable as an admission of a party opponent, however, I would argue that a typed letter with no signature cannot be authenticated (except by the defendant, who does not have to testify)

Even though the Federal Rules of Evidence are pretty clear (901 and 902), I am having trouble finding caselaw

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!

I owe a smallish sum for council tax. The council have guessed a sum that is totally outrageous and although I have contacted them in the past, for the last few months there hasnt been any contact from them.

I now have a letter from Charles Anderson (Sheriff Officer) saying a bailiff was at my door and will be back with a locksmith.

There is the option of contacting them to sort a repayment scheme but my problem is I am on a benefit and can't really afford to pay them back a decent amount. I don't own them what they say I do but no one is listening.

What can I do? Can they really break in? Please offer any advice.
