Okay. I know the title sounds kind of weird...
But my daughter pointed this out.
My husband got fed up with all the junk in my neighbors yard. He called City Hall.
Around that time my daughter went snooping around an old, unmarked trailer of my neighbors.
She found that there was an old matress concealing an entrance.
Then her and her friends went to check it out more...
She found that the lid was cemented shut.
When she got inside she told me. I checked it out myself. There was a terrible stench, and it was cemented shut. I tried the entry hole and it wouldn't budge.
I'm worried. The people have always kept to themselves, and have always seemed a bit creepy.
My daughter thinks that my neighbor killed someone. I'm beginning to think that myself.
HELP!

I work for a monopoly corporation. When they close, the manager does the self check out machine and takes all the money to the back. Well, while he's doing this, he claims he can't let us out and that we have to wait til he's done with the money. This means that me and the other employees have to be stuck inside by the front door, anywhere from ten to thirty minutes without pay, becuase by this time, we've all already clocked out. some people take this time to organize their departments off the clock, but not me, i just want to go home! i dont mind if it happens once in a while but it seems to occur often whenever i get the closing shift. is this illegal? should i report it to our company's ethics hotline?

also, i cannot punch out as im leaving. time clock is in the back. if i see the manager coming, and i run to the back and then punch out, the door will be closed by the time i reach the front. so i have to clock out in the back, then go to the front and wait.

The Associated Press reported yesterday that a high school art teacher in Virginia was dismissed by his local school board when they discovered that he made and sold "butt print art" on the Internet. The school system argued that the dismissal was justified because "students have a right to receive their education in a positive learning environment free from distractions and disruptions." The artist argued that his art, which he produced and sold on his own time, is protected free expression and in no way interfered with his ability to teach.

What are your views? Should the teacher have been fired?

I think that it school is where you should be more tolerant and to go to a School where the teachers show intolerance is very sad
If I had kids and they attended that school where that poor boy Was refused entry if he has his hearing dog I would pull my kid out of that school and find one that would never teach students that discrimination towards disabled students is Acceptable

And anyone who uses the excuse that allergy's are the reason
Make me sick........ ever heard of allergy pills that if were required the school would/should cover
Thank god the school is being investigated ,because is is totally illegal

For lawsuits such as sexual/racial/discrimination cases. Why do employers or anyone else for that matter end up paying? What are the consequences they face if they do not pay on the agreed settlement? And just how much does the EEOC have power or control over, as far as making sure the employerpays the agreed amount?

I got a traffic ticket for speeding. I am going to court tomarrow for it to a informal hearing. To make things clear I do take full responsiblity for this. But, as of right now I am in the process of getting a Job as a EMT and of course cannot have the points on my license because of how my record is now.

I did write the judge a letter after I got the ticket and asked if I could take a drivers improvment class and pay the ticket but not get the points because of my trying to get a job as an EMT. I received a letter back stating that after the judge read my letter that there will be an informal hearing for tomarrow.

I was told that it was more up to the cop then to the judge. That before the hearing I should speak with the cop and explain to him that I am in the process of getting an job as an EMT and if there was anyway that I could avoid getting the points on my record. My question is, is that true should I do that? Also is it a good idea to talk to him before the hearing?

My husband and I got in an argument and I had the car keys and he told me to give them to him and I refused. He then came at me and tried to physically take them from me. He hit me in the face with one hand and tried to get the keys out with the other, so I bit his hand trying to get him off of me. I ran down the hall and started down the stairs but he caught up to me and pushed me down the bottom half of the stairs where I sliced my foot open on the railing. I have bruises on my body from falling on the stairs and on my arms from him grabbing me, as well as on my face from him hitting me. He probably has a mark on his hand from me biting him and maybe some bruises from me trying to get him off me. I thought about calling the police, but wondered if they would take us both to jail since I bit him. He also said that it was illegal for me to keep the keys from him. Is that true? If it is, does it make it okay for him to physically try to take them from me? Any help would be great. Thanks
