I think that it school is where you should be more tolerant and to go to a School where the teachers show intolerance is very sad
If I had kids and they attended that school where that poor boy Was refused entry if he has his hearing dog I would pull my kid out of that school and find one that would never teach students that discrimination towards disabled students is Acceptable

And anyone who uses the excuse that allergy's are the reason
Make me sick........ ever heard of allergy pills that if were required the school would/should cover
Thank god the school is being investigated ,because is is totally illegal

Absolutely not. School administrators can sometimes get high and mighty, thinking the school is their own little kingdom. The school board should be notified of this and if they do not rectify it, then a law suit can be filed.

If they can have students that can't do anything for themselves at all; there are a few schools who have students that need tube feedings, diapers changed, IV's, etc. They have such a set up in my town; they say they can't discriminate against them. They have the right to go to school. Then, having a seeing and hearing dog shouldn't be any problem. They are highly trained and know what to do. Some people can't move with the flow. Have some compassion.

No schools should NOT be allowed to ban assistant dogs as this is why these types of dogs are trained for in the first place to be assistants for the person they are with. It makes zero sense to take away a hearing guide dog or a seeing eye dog from their owners as these animals are ing for their owners benefit and are not just pets!

To the best of my knowledge a landlord, employer or school cannot bar the bringing in of a dog if that dog is meant to assist a disabled person. I haven't read about the case you refer to but I would think they have a heck of a law suit.

I hate to say it but I don't think a student who requires an animal for assistance needs to be at a public school. It would cause too much of a disturbance. Plus the dog is going to have to use the bathroom at some point and that would be too much of a hassel for a student to have to leave class when the animal needs to go to the bathroom. Plus allergies is a big deal. Many people are allergic to animals and schools can not afford nor are they set up to provide allergy medicine to students that require it.
Maybe they could set up a single room for the student and allow them to work in there...but in a normal public school environment, an animal just will not fit in.

the college property is owned by potential of the city, no longer the college itself. a minimum of this is how that's the place I stay. that's public property as quickly as the college day is over. I additionally take my canine there to run in the college park and socialize with the toddlers and fogeys that is there after hours. He loves it. i do no longer see any subject with it in any respect as long because it rather is after college hours.
